Hi I've been lurking and reading the last couple weeks, and decided to join.. Hope to gain some insight.

Two weeks ago I walked in a local vape shop purchased a couple ego 950mha batteries a PT2 and PTMini charger and some juice.. walked out the store and threw a brand new pack of cigs in the trash been stinky free since tommorow will be two weeks, (that's the good news)

Ive made a few more purchases I picked up a MVP2,, a couple evod tanks, a smoke areo tank... well at first things were going well, vape was nice flaovor was good.. but the last several days I've had nothing but inconsistent flavors, gurgling, dry hits... ect..

The evods seem to work the best but only fire on my egos, I had a connector that worked on my MVP but lost it duh..

Ive read and read..and what one praises another despises.. very confusing. I know that both of my protanks can work well, Ive had some great vapes but its VERY VERY hit or miss... dry hits, muted flavor or worse some god awful flavor like Im smoking the wick, yuck.

Ive dry burned the coils, replaced the coils, removed one flavor wick, removed all flavor wicks...tried priming drawing on it before firing it adjusted voltage usually 3.7 to 4.0 heads are usually 1.8 to 2.2 ohms... sometimes they leak other times they dont........ Just very frustraiting.. It's not like I'm vaping some tricked out exotic drip, or hitech piece of eqipment. The results have been very good at times so I know what the juice taste like when its right... but its probably less than 50% chance of it being good. The juice Im vaping is 70/30 and 50/50.. one a sweet tobacco flavor the other is a Carmel mocha.. both 18mg

I even have issues with the smok areo leaking into battery connection which didnt happen at first...

I bought supplies to to build my own coils but will not even try at this point.

Although I have no intention of giving up and going back to the stinkies... its making it difficult to enjoy, Id like to recommend vaping to friends but with the issues Im having I cant do that... oh well VENT over thanks for reading

Hi and welcome. What's gold to one person is absolute junk to the next. Have you ever considered a carto or carto+ tank? Once you fill the carto properly the first time it's easy enuff to refill.
Congrats on 2 weeks  and for all the aggravation you've had at least there's a bright side.

I second this! Carto tank is the way to go for less aggravation, and enjoyment. There is less of a learning curve with it too. Once you get how to fill them, the rest is cake. I like the Artemas or the Smok DCT

In regards to dry hits on your ProTank there are sometimes "pressure" issues with many tank systems. Can be either negative or positive pressure which can lead to leaking/ gurgling or dry hits...
"i will keep this short, but after suffering slightly dry/burnt vapes i found a solution. if you have not long filled your protank right up full, when you have vaped around a third of the way through the tank of juice, open the tank up, let some air in,screw it back together."
Also in regards to the PG/ VG ratio; from a KangerTech spokesperson:
"Using juice between 70/ 30 PG/ VG and 75/ 25 PG/ VG should be fine, but using juice outside of these parameters will cause issues with your protank."

Hello there ... your inconsistent vaping experience is actually quite consistent with being a new vaper, so welcome to the club ... As far as your Protank issues, that has a lot to do with your juice, and getting it to consistently wick ... With the mini, if and when you use the 50% VG juice try taking the grommet on the post off the coiling head (this worked with the large Protank and thick juice too)... this is what I did for my thicker juice in the mini, and I have not had any leaking, and better wicking. Please note that removing the gromment does not work with all juices, and glassomizers, Evods, etc ... when I tried that on my Evod it leaked, so what I did instead was cut out two side slots on either side of the gromment (above where the wicks are) , as opposed to removing the grommet altogether, and that helped me get better wicking on the Evod.

ohms ratings, and voltage also plays a part in whether your juice and set up returns a burnt flavor ... I find that lighter flavored juices do better with lower ohms and voltage, while stronger flavored, thicker juices play well with higher resistance and voltage.

Expect, and prepare yourself to have to tailor each juice, with each set up that is used, and you will feel less frustrated .... :)

Vaping is a wonderful thing when everything is flowing, but you must get used to tweaking your gear. One juice will be perfect on set up A, yet not work at all on set up B, and this is normal. Vaping requires more thought, work, and effort than smoking does, but the returns are greater than smoking.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. The trick is to understand that these little setbacks are just part of the learning curve, and not get all frustrated over it.
I will say that what helped me at first was to learn how to use ONE device well, so that I had something I knew would work to fall back on while I figured out how to use others. So stick an evod on your eGo bat to vape while you figure out your Protanks on your mvp. The main thing is figuring out different devices should be FUN, even if it can be frustrating at times. (but let's not talk about my first attempt at wrapping a coil)
