Thanks for the warm welcome, right now I'm using my good old 510 but I just bought an ego t system from a local vendor, not really digging it so far. I cant get rid of that burnt plastic taste from my atty's and I think they might be knock offs or something. The batteries have the ego logo and they work with my 510 atty's but the atty's that came with the ego kit just have my vendors logo on it and the tanks don't click in and if i push them all the way down they don't vape at all!! I called the vendor and he said they must be the old defective atty's and would send me new ones, your thoughts? Juice wise I'm using some from nicfitNation Royal Canadian Reserve (thumbs up) and some Tobacco flavours from various vendors. So far the ry4 I've tried from one vendor tasted like a burnt carmal/... flavor:facepalm:

It is not uncommon for stores to order shipments with their own logos, or even to 'rebrand' common designs that have some minor changes. In fact, if you look at the manufacturer's web sites for most of these products, you can see where they offer to add all that stuff at production time for those who order direct and in bulk.

If he'll send you a new atty all at his cost...might as well give it one more try. You might ask if he has the LR type...some folks that find the regular ones horrible report the little extra heat smooths things out for them.

The tanks aren't for everyone. I don't like them very much myself, mainly because it took me a lot of tinkering and experimenting to finally get the right balance of juice...wick adjustments...and I still found the draw too tight.

A good 'safe bet' for a solid and convenient vaping experience that you can shove in your pocket and go with...are standard disposable cartomizers. Have a look at threads on here to see what people have to say about them. I personally like the CE2 type at Rev 5 which come in clear or metal (I like the metal ones for durability...the clears fall apart faster but are easier to clean and mod). Boges have a good reputation and are solid/consistent performers. Smoketech is said to have a really nice dual-coil carto out now (for larger batteries). And there are a number of pricey but interesting giant sized options out there to try (I personally would rather just fill several of the smaller ones and change them out as needed).

On Store Branding...
Several vendors do order up special runs of stuff with minor modifications that are sometimes worth giving a try, and some do various mods to them in shop before shipping them out. GotVapes.com has some different carts for regular and mega attys, improved tank designs, and store branded 'fluxomizer' CE2 cartos. CloudsOfVapor offers some interesting mods/improved versions of various cartos and attys as well.

Bottom feeding mods are a solid no-fail solution for many people. With this concept, you squish a bottle or bulb just enough to push some juice up into the atty cup. You can get really nice collectible works of art like the Reo Mini or Reo Grand for a nice chunk of cash and time on a waiting list. You can also build your own boxes and stuff for as little as $15 at your local electronic supply store, or shop around and find middle of the road mods at costs between the extremes.

In the PV world...when it comes to Cartos and attys...almost any make, brand, or vendor you choose...you'll occasionally get a dud. Since the markets are fairly small still, alot of the companies are still quite young and learning, and the stuff is somewhat cheap, quality control for PV related items isn't exactly the best, so if you buy in...expect to get the occasional dud. Most vendors will bend over backwards to keep you happy when it comes to getting a bad product...if they don't...it's time to look around for one that treats you better :)

When all else fails with cartos and carts...fall back on direct dripping with your 510 kit and focus on good juices. Just get a good drip tip and keep the bridge of your atty wet.

On juices...hard to say really other than check out the threads for 'reputation' and try flavors that seem like you'll like them.

Don't hesitate to email some juice labs that specialize in mixing e-liquid to describe what you are looking for in a vape and the equipment you will be using. Many of them will make some recommendations for you, and even make custom tweaks that you specify.

Some folks get on the classified and swap juice samples around to cut down on the expense of it all a bit.

Some stores run specials where you can get sampler kits for a song and a dance. Keep your eyes on ECF to catch those announcements :)

Finally, it's not very difficult to mix your own juices if you like doing that sort of thing with your time. You can source the flavorings and other ingredients fairly easily...check the DIY juice forums to get an idea of where to being with that if it interests you.

Good luck and happy vaping.

Thanks Credo, that makes me feel better, I thought my vendor was trying to scam me with knock off parts, good to know it's not uncommon to have custom labeling. I've read of some vendors claming there products to be what there not and charging for the real deal, cheers! And I've already converted one of my co workers to vaping and he's loving it
