I'm a noobie and need some advice.
I decided to try the e-cig route of quiting about 3 months ago, but cannot seem to get the vapor and taste that I got at the local b&m. My local store was great at introducing me to vaping, awesome at showing how to use and clean my new setup (2 Kangertech Evod batteries and tanks and1 Kanger Protank 2 mini) and patient when I tried every single flavor they had. My problem is when I got home and charged and filled everything my first vape was blah, little vapor and the flavor was not what it was like at the store. I did check with the store to see if my liquids needed to be steeped......nope. I have tried every day for 3 months but still the only time that the vape and flavor is good is when it sits for 30 minutes or so, first vape awesome then nothing. So to perpetuate the question..... should I look into getting a vv battery/mod? Size does not matter to me but battery life does. Also I have no desire right now to spend $100 or more for a battery holder. I have looked around and found that I like the Vamo, but then will these tanks work sufficiently?
Arggggggggg, please help. I want to quit smoking but this is just frustrating.

If you want long battery life and something with vv/vw the MVP2 is a nice pv to have with it's 2600mAh battery. It'll last days. I don't know if you're a heavy vaporer so that'll determine how long it'll last for you. Mine last days. Seldom need to recharge the thing. It's reasonably priced and the cheapest place to get it is 101vapes for around 40+ dollars.

Do you know what device you used at the store to sample. Maybe there is a difference between what you used in the store and what you have at home (evod, right?). And then there is the whole question of volts, ohms, yada yada.

Most everything needs to steep...but three months should steep anything.

You mention that it's better after sitting for 30 minutes and then nothing...sounds like it may not be wicking very well. You could try a few primer puffs (drawing without firing the battery) to help draw the liquid into the coil.

That's all I've got...

Also it depends on what ratio of PG/VG. PG has the flavor in it and VG makes more vapor.

Vamo works great and the Protanks perform very well on top of the Vamo.

If you find an online dealer selling the Vamo make sure you hit the coupon button on top of this forum or else Google the vendor's name and put coupon code behind it ( ex. acme coupon code ).

Good Luck to you.

Hello :) Sorry you're running into issues. That's never fun. Have you tried putting the EVOD tank on instead of a pro-tank? The EVOD is one of my all time favorite clearomizers. It gives me no issues :) The itaste MVP is a good setup iTaste 2.0 MVP Kit with iClear16 that's a pretty good deal. The tanks in the kit are good. Here is the Vamo forum VAMO if you're really thinking about one check it out.

Are you using the same topper as what you used in the shop to sample with?
And are your battery's fully charged?

^this. before anyone recommends buying new equipment, I would suggest figuring out why the current equipment isn't working before moving on to more expensive and complicated mods

That setup should work just fine out of the box. no special anything. fill, puff, enjoy.

There is something wrong with the setup.

I have the exact hardware you do. I use juice that is a 50/50 pg/vg mix. Higher percentage vg does not wick well in my EVODs.

Doesnt sound like the juice you bought is mixed well. No pg?

Your hardware is not the problem IMHO

Ok I will see if I can answer all questions. Most of my juices are 50/50 blend, one is 60pg 40 vg(this one tastes the best but little vapor). The batteries were charged according to manual and I have yet get them to empty (I charge them every couple of weeks). The setup at the store was a battery similar to mine but longer and vv, as for the tank???????? they were something larger and more square compared to my protank. As for wicking, I have tried everything except take out the wick in the coil. Also I have tried the puff puff with out fire thing to no avail.
Also I use both the evod tanks and the protank mini, they both have the same 50/50 blend just different flavors. My husband has checked the battery output and they are as stated on the box.

So I guess my question should be...... do I need a "stronger" setup? I'm open to just upgrading my batteries to an ego twist of sorts if this will help my vaping experience.

Every couple of weeks? Do you not vape much?

Sounds like your tanks have bad coils or something, and your battery's should require more charging than that unless your not using them daily?

This little fella goes a long time before charging... actually it never needs recharging:

Do you have any fresh coils to try? If it's been 3 months, the coil might be gunked up and need cleaning.

Variable voltage MIGHT make a huge difference.
But it sounds like your store is willing to be helpful - can't they help deduce what the difference is between what you vaped there and what you're getting from your kit?
If you're not getting "burnt" hits, and your not leaking, then your gear is probably doing the best it can with the coil/battery combination you have. You could try a lower resistance coil - it'll let the battery hit "harder". Or you could try using a VV battery - they may let you pop your topper on one of theirs to see if it's better, before buying one...

I'll have to visit them tomorrow and see if they'll let use my tanks on a vv battery. I thought for awhile that I was trying to "puff" to much not pull but use it like for 5 minutes at a time. (The length of time it takes to smoke a cig)

When you press the button and hold the mouthpiece to your ear, you should hear a popping crackling sound. If the wick to too wet, the sound will me low and maybe burbling kind of sound; when you hear to popping crackling sound, that's the time to take a vape.

What nicotine strength are you using?
I have a feeling you are using very low nicotine strength.
