The smokeless image is a 320mah battery that outputs a regulated 3.6v

The V2 is a 250mah battery that outputs unregulated 4.2v.

What does this mean?
The mah rating reflects battery capacity. The higher the rating, the higher the battery capacity.
The volts is the amount of power the battery delivers to your cartomizer to power it. The more volts you send to your cartomizer, the bigger the hit will be. More vapor, more throat hit.

The more power a battery puts out is the faster it drains the battery. As you can see, the V2 uses a higher output voltage on a smaller capacity battery so the the vape-time you will get from the V2 will be substantially less.

Also, the battery on the Smokeless Image is 'Regulated' where the V2 is unregulated. This means that you will get a consistant 3.6v from the the SI from the time you take the battery off the charger until the battery runs dead. On the V2 the quality of vape will diminish with the power left in the battery. It will start off at 4.2v and dwindle its way down to about 3.4v until its dead.

I hope I helped you and didn't confuse you!

Thanks for the explanation, now I know what the difference is between regulated and unregulated :D !

Between those two, I would choose the smokeless image. Longer battery life and more consistent vaping. I've had a disappointing experience with another brand (not worth mentioning it here) from a local tobacco shop and the battery gets weak after 1 hour of use and the vapor quality diminishes, so I have to charge the battery every hour. Glad I don't have to use it anymore.

Yeah, don't forget to pick up an extra pack of cartos or two. They sell them prefilled and blank. Just starting out I would test their flavors from buying the prefilled. I have only tried two of their flavors, RY4 and Cowboy. I can recommend their RY4! It is very, very good! The Cowboy is supposed to mimic a Marlboro but unfortunately, your not ever going to find a flavor that tastes like a real smoke. Its a decent flavor it just doesn't have any WOW factor to it. You might enjoy it.

GL and don't be a stranger around here!

Happy Vaping!

I wanted to add, but forgot, that once you find a flavor you like, you can buy a bottle of that flavor liquid from SI and refill your cartos with it. That will save you lots of $$$.

They sell blank cartos so can pick up some blanks and venture out and explore flavors from other vendors and fill your blank cartos with them.

Well my order has been placed!!! I went with the Volt starter pack. One manual and one auto, both 78''. For carts, i got a Smooth sampler as well as a Sweet Sampler both the 18%. I almost got the next kit up that came with the portable charger but ehhh, I figured just save some money and put it towards new flavors later on. So any tips on getting started or something you wished you knew before starting?

Now, the hard part begins.... THE WAIT!

Nice! I forgot they had the samplers. That is definitely the way to go. Now you can try most of the flavors and just reorder what you like.

Waiting is never fun but hopefully you will have it by the end of the week. :D

I would recommend Smokeless Image's Premimum kit Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette how I would set it up is get both batteries in the 78mm size you can do either manual or automatic I perfer manual but its all up to you.

YOU SHOULD GET the 1.5 A charger its 2 dollars more but you can use your Manual passthrough with it Using the manual passthrough would save you from wear and tear on batteries

I would also do the MEGA PCC

Then you can get another battery for taking a picture of you with either the battery or holding the pack of cartomizers

Another thing there are a bunch of codes

SIVOLT50

YOURVOLT00

Also you can look for outlaw Vapor on Youtube there are plenty of videos about Smokeless image products

total rookie here.. could you explain the manual passthrough for me? and what is better about the 1.5a charger?

What the manual pass through is and I'll break it down as simple as I can

Its basically like a extention cord you plug it in and use your cartomizer (filters) on it. It doesn't collect a charge so its not a battery you can only use it when plugged in but whats good about it is like I said it saves your batteries and here is how batteries only get so many charges and discharges if you are sitting at a desk and you charge your batteries and use the manual pass through.

If I didn't explain it well enough here is a video that might help

Review - SmokelessImage Volt USB 3.6V Regulated Passthrough - YouTube Note they are no longer automatic they are manual

VOLT - 3.6v Regulated Passthrough Battery - Smokeless Image - YouTube this should be better

Speaking of Noobs, I am one & possibly the king of noobs, judging from what I've read in these 3 pages. I know absolutely NOTHING about this subject other than I smoke 2 packs of reservation cigs a day. I am sick of it & really want to quit. I am 62 yrs old and never really tried to quit. All the posts here are completely over my head what with the lingo & tech stuff and all. Btw, I live near a company called Juicy Vapor. Can I just walk in there and get the info I need and expect to be treated fairly? Anyone familiar with that company? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm not even sure if I'm posting this in the proper place...any & all responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the company but I checked out their website and they have a decent product line for a 2 pack a day smoker.

Thanks to adl & voodoo...I have just read some reviews of JV and they seem to get really GREAT reviews. I hope I'm not just reading reviews posted by the company. It seems I am fortunate to live just 3 miles from them. I guess I need help deciding on the hardware end of this...I'll check out the videos. And please, any more advice for this total newcomer is very welcome. I also live very close to a reservation where my cigs cost $2.50 a pack, which is why I'm still smoking, damnit.

Hi Charlie, thanks for the heads up. If I'm gonna inhale breakfast I'd prefer bacon over french toast. I think I saw a bacon flavor somewhere.

I like bacon on my bacon.

Good thing your willing to try other flavors When I first started vaping I am quoted as saying I will only do tobacco flavors and Methol flavors Yea now I have a array of juices I even make my own juice and I have not vaped a menthol or Tobacco flavor in about 3 weeks. Right now I'm stuck on a Vape dudes product called strawberry lemonade for me its tarty but still sweet Love it its my absoulte favorite. But enough of that I stated in a post about a mth ago There is something for everyone. You are lucky you have a store near you for me I have to goto the mall and deal with the idiots with brilliant smoke "overpriced mall brand"

Enjoy

Sitting down, facing forward.
Just my two cents worth. Examine what you're looking for. If you want something that looks and acts like a cigarette I would suggest the Volt from Smokeless Image. They offer two battery sizes and I'd also suggest the 78mm because it has roughly half again the capacity of the 65mm, about 240 versus 320mah. Their batteries are sealed and regulated at about 3.6 volts and are designed to work well with their caromizers and other accessories. They do offer a nice selection of prefilled cartomizers, or you can buy some prefilled and then refill them with the same liquids. When you're ready to try something larger they also offer the X2 battery series, again regulated just like the smaller ones, but come in 650, 900 and 1300mah sizes. All of the cartomizers, clearomizers, CE3s that they sell fit either battery size. Their customer sevice is excellent. I can tell you the got me, a pack a day plus smoker for 50 years, off of cigarettes.

Whatever you settle on, enjoy your new "habit" that may well turn into a hobby before you know it and welcome to the world of vaping!

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.

Another Noobe:
I have been vaping Choice No 7 E Cigarettes By Choice 7's for a couple of years. What I like is that the micro battery (180ohm) is the size of a regular cig and I do not have to press a button to vape. What I do not like is the atomizer/fiber fill and want to change to a cartomizer. I ordered the gotvapes cir 510 fluximizer and it came as ordered. First - why do I have to get on this forum to get customer service?
The real question is the fulximizer I ordered is too small for the battery. I had called Choice prior to ordering and they agreed that the size was 510 - now I call them and they tell me they can not tell me that info. I guess they have a proprietary connection. I found some adapters on line. but I do not want to go that way since it still might not work.
Here is what I want - a battery to fit the cartimizers I purchased, size 510, that does not have to use a push to vape button. Any suggestions?
