I have a bottle of 500 ml of VG based 100 mg of Nicotine from RTS Vapes. I will freeze most of this in glass bottles and use some for DIY e-liquid. I vape 100% VG juice at 3mg and 6mg of nicotine on my MVP2.

I have read the Sticky’s on safety in working with nicotine so with that being said I still have questions:

1. What do I do with this nicotine if anything to bring it down to a level I can DIY at 3mg and 6mg?
2. What E-Calculator is best to use with a MacBook Pro?

Anything else you can add to help is greatly appreciated.

I love ECF everyone is so nice and helpful thank you all. I am so new at vaping but I love it and I am so happy to be off analogs!!!

Hi Kat05,

At the low nic levels you want to mix at, you are going to need a lot of VG. It would probably be cheaper to buy in bulk because you have enough nic for a couple of gallons of mix. But thats up to you.

A small 30ml bottle of 100mg nic will make 1/2 a liter at 6mg. I keep a 60 ml bottle out for mixing, the rest I freeze. I look at it like this, the smaller the working bottle, the less that could be involved in an "accident."

Good luck

Calcs are the way to go of course but I do think it's a good idea to memorize the amount of nic for your preferred base strength for your most common sized bottles. Especially when using 100mg/ml.

When I first started mixing I would mostly make 10-15-30ml bottles. At 12mg/ml strength I knew off the top of my head that it was 1.2-1.8-3.6mls of base. I knew exactly what each looked like in the bottle (I always add nic first as an extra step of not making a strength mistake). I've since lowered my nic and also mix different strengths depending on tank vs dripper but I still have the math memorized for all my mixes and sizes. It's not a bad thing to do and not very hard either.
