--> Noob Question <-- How to use this forum?

This will be my 7th post, but I'm still unable to post outside of the New Member board...?

Also, how do you "like" a post? I'm not seeing that option.

I figured out how to subscribe to a thread, but what if I see an individual post I want to save, such as a DIY recipe? Is there a way to save it, or tag it, so it I can keep it in my dashboard? Will liking the post save it for me?

Sometimes it takes a while for the system to adjust to your new permission level such as posting outside the new members forum. You might have to log out and log back in.

The like is in small print to the lower bottom right corner of a post on an open thread. It's in blue. You just click on it and it tabulates your like to the post.

I don't know about how to save a particular post from a thread, but what I do, is simply highlight, right click, copy, paste to a doc on my computer. That way I can keep what I want in a specific folder instead of hunting all over the internet for stuff.

And you are NOT dumb! Asking questions is good.

Ah ha! Logging out and logging back in worked. And NOW I see the like text.

Yeah, I think I'll start a recipe book and just copy and paste. Might be the best idea to keep all my notes together. I'm learning so much!

Not asking a question that you want an answer to would be dumb. I've been here for months and still don't know how to do much other than post and how to search (somewhat). Keep at it and you will figure most of it out. Good luck and happy vaping.

First, try logging out then back in. Also, the server has set times it does updates. It can take a little while to "notice" the post count. Give it a couple of hours and try again.

Welcome to ECF! Subscribing to the thread is probably the easiest way to keep up with posts you want to save. Under Thread Tools above, you can also select Show Printable Version to make saving to a separate document easier.

Servers update at 25 minutes past the hour.

Logging in or out is not going to help much.

Everybody has their own way to navigate--I do it through My Posts (under What's New tab). My Posts displays all the threads I've posted on and whether there's been any responses to the threads.
