Hello everyone, I'm a relatively new vaper, got myself a fuchai 213 with a griffin 25 yesterday,

I have a simple question coz im not too good at maths/physics, lol

is there any difference in coil temperature when vaping at say 20watt vs 100watt (after the ramp up time of course). ? I know well that higher wattage mean quicker ramp up and more juice burned in less time. but is the temperature the same in different wattages past the ramp up?

It's power vs surface area and airflow.

I'll explain this as simple as I can: If I have a 1.5 ohm coil 30 awg wire (that's really thin) 100 watts would be well over 800 F, now if I have a .15 ohm coil 24 AWG (thick wire) 100 watts would be around 550 F hot but plenty of people vape that hot. I have a ss316 26 AWG .52 coil (dna 200, mod resistance set, case analyzer was done) in my bellus set at 500 F and it takes about 15 watts to keep at 500 F. Now If I take that very same coil, put in my Velocity dripper, it'll take a whole lot more power to maintain that temp because there's more airflow flowing over that coil. Surface area and airflow decided how much power is needed to keep a coil at a set temperature. Resistance indirectly affects the surface area of a coil.

My short answer on this is that the power (wattage) merely gets you to temp faster. Once you're there, the TC should limit, and your vape should remain consistent. You'll probably see the "Temperature Control" message, meaning you are at your specified limit.

Did someone say TC.
Does the Fuchai even do TC?
(That's a kind of joke btw)

I've pulsed a coil at 10 watts and 50 watts. What did I learn? I'm not sure, but it sure looks like it gets hotter to me.

Dr Farsalinos says we shouldn't be glowing coils period, so I took the 50 watt straight off and trashed it.

I don't do temp mode but maybe I can try. Obviously without temp control vaping at 100 watts the coil will be at a higher temperature then 20 watts, now in temp control you set the temp to where you want it and once it hits that temp, it levels out. So either at 20 or 100 watts it will be the same and cut off at that temp
