Ok, here is my story. I started vaping a little over two months ago, and yes I got sucked in by a fancy website (V2 cigs). So, I started with the KR808 batteries and bought a few from a couple other companies and they worked good enough to get me off the analogs. A couple weeks ago, I upgraded to a bigger battery kit (KGO) and I love it. Now I've been looking into VV batteries and mods but I don't know which direction to go. Do you think I should start with something like the Ego Twist/Spinner or should I just make a bigger investment and go for a mod? Any advice is much appreciated.

That's the $64,000 question, isn't it?

You could try the twist/spinner first or just jump in. I tend to take baby steps, but once I found the ideal setup for me, I've been using the same pv for about a year and a half. The plus side of higher end pv's- if you don't like it, resale is excellent.

If you know you like vaping and arent going back, Id suggest to spend what you can afford on a mod. If you dont like it, sell it on the classifieds and get something else. The twist is pretty good. It all depends on a lot of variables. But, A good mod VV is essential imo.
There are many out there. Most can be had for less than 100 bucks which can include batts for it and a charger.

I'm in the same boat as you stauglocal. I started with the SI Volt, it was ok, and my wife still uses it but I needed something more to kill the analog cravings. I bought a couple Ego Twists and I love them! I've been analog free ever since. My issue is battery life as I only have the 650mah's, I can't quit make it an entire day with one(the wife took one). I got over the whole weird looking mod thing, I just want something that will last me a day or two and works. I saw a Reo Grand over the weekend and seems to do everything that I would want, but I also like the tube mods (zmax, provari). Hopefully some of the Vets on here will help us out.

Been using a Kgo for 8 months. What made a huge difference in my enjoyment was when I got lower resistance atomizers & cartomizers.
Currently using
Smoketech 1.7 ohm cartomizer
Or
Cisco 306 atomizer @ 1.8 ohm for dripping.
I'm frugal. Yes, I want a Reo. But maybe I'll wait till these Kgos die.

Die Kgo die!!! LOL

It's a whole different animal, but if you like bottom feeders, you'll love the reo.

Eventually a big battery mod will pay for itself. When your $30 Twist/Spinner dies you have to buy a new one. When your big battery dies you pay $8-$12 for a new one. Plus that $30 Twist/Spinner battery won't last as long as, say, an AW IMR type battery, so you're paying more and replacing it more often.

That said, "eventually" may be a long time, depending on what you pay for the mod.

Thank you for the input. Yeah, I'm definitely not going back to analogs, so I'm in it for the long run. I'm thinking mod now, cause all these baby steps I've taken so far is racking up the $$. I'm probably looking to spend at least $100 for the battery and charger, maybe more. What mods do you think I should look into?? And what are some good vendor sites to check out? Thanks again!!
