Hi all!

i've spent the last week on this site reading everything i can. MANY THANK YOUS to all of you who post honest reviews and share their experiences. in today's world of shady marketing, we consumers have to stick together to find quality merchandise, and identify the vendors who do provide quality service.

I NEED HELP. i've read enough here to make me dizzy like i stuck a whole pack of Lucky Strikes in my mouth and lit the end. after days of reading, i've learned a lot, but i'm still no closer to choosing my first PV.

HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME: you can skip it if you bore easily.
i've never smoked regular cigarettes. they taste and smell nasty to me. but once upon a time i started smoking cloves. Sampoerna Classics, Djarum Blacks, Djarum Special Lites, Bali Hais, etc. I drink Guinness and I want a clove in my hand when I do so. For a while I got up to smoking 1/2 pack a day, but I started hacking up red goo, so I decided to quit. That lasted about 2 yrs before I bummed a Black one day, and then I was smoking about a pack a week. Not bad. THEN OBAMA BANNED THEM. thanx, Prez. if you're going to ban flavored cigs, you should have banned menthol too, ya hypocrite. sorry, i digress.

So, the ban forced me to quit again. I tried the replacement "clove cigars"...THEY SUCK. the only thing similar is the packaging. booooo.

ok, so now that I know that e-cigs are a healthy alt to smoking, and i can get clove flavor, i want one. I'VE ALREADY FOUND A WELL-RECOMMENDED HOME BREW RECIPE HERE, so i'm looking forward to getting to mix up my own. i'm ready to commit to a PV.

WHICH ONE?

i've read that the 510, and the 4081, and the KR808d, are all favored models. but, a lot of the information here is quickly becoming obsolete because the technology is evolving so quickly. with this in mind, i want to try to find a quality SUPER MINI OR MICRO.

i REALLY want a PV that is as close to cig size as possible. i'd prefer 7mm diameter, but 8mm will do for now. i don't want anything fatter than 8mm.

DOES ANYONE USE A NEW STYLE SUPER MINI/MICRO that works really well? please reply with the model name, and if possible, a link to your review. anyone have a mini E-8? or similar?

ideally, i'd like to be able to set up 3 whole units and rotate them. if one dies, either juice or power, i'll just grab another unit. like you grab another cigarette. i'll maintenance them at the end of the day. or week if they last that long.

i want to be able to vape the equivalent of smoking 5 cigs a day. 5, 5 minute vape breaks. make sense?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ALL REPLIES. really. i appreciate any info you have to offer, and will reply to each comment for more info. i like this PV idea, i just need to find the equipment and routine to duplicate the experience i remember.

Tj

p.s. ugh, sorry for the epic novel.

You named off the top 3 choices. My advice is just choose the one you think you're going to like most and get started. Go to the model-specific sub-forums for detailed questions you might have. There's no law that says you're stuck with that from now on. You already decided on something that physically resembles a cigarette, the remaining options are manual/auto and juice delivery.

RE: the new stuff, my tendency is to stick with tried and true. The folks that like the bleeding edge are usually the ones bleeding all over the floor.

I can only recommend the 510 since that's the only cig sized pv I've used. It may also have the best availability so far as spare/replacement parts.

I realize you've smoked tobacco previously without becoming dependent, but I think it may be a good idea to stick with 0 nicotine liquids, or at least very low nic ones. You wouldn't want to develop an addiction to the stuff. Sounds like you're mostly in it for the flavor.

i think 0 is a good idea too. unless i somehow notice a lack of satisfaction from it, then i may step it a bit. yes, i just want something that will allow me to duplicate my habit of smoking a clove while drinking a Guinness. AND not attract much attention. i'd rather it be black cig sized.

i'm probably going to order one tonite. i'm feeling the 510 may be the easiest to start off with.

I know you really want something that is close to a regular cigarette. I bought 2 starter kits like that and they really did not impress me, i switched to an ego style and loved it so much i upgraded to a battery mod. If you i guess you should give it a try with a smaller pv and if you like it go with an ego and if you like that then go to a big batt mod, you won't be dissapointed

If you are looking for a super mini/micro... I highly recommend the Revolver Elite. I know Revolver is not super popular on these forums but I have zero complaints with mine, and bad reviews are hard to come by. It is smaller than the 510 (so yes shorter battery life), but they are almost exactly the size as a regular cigarette and have a really nice PCC.

ok, i want to buy one tonite.

i just looked at the 510 PCC at mad vapes. that looks like a good one.
i also just looked at the Smoke Stik Hendu, which i think is a 4081. pricey, but nice.
or this vaporite kr808.

and this revolver is nice too. what model is that?

what are the pluses of each?

i'm reading too much negative to start with an E8. but these 3 seem to be the favored. i want to be able to pre-fill with my own juice, or buy prefilled clove cartomizers.

suggestions anyone? all input greatly appreciated!

Ive been recommending the Joye eGo. i have tried many others, i am lucky to have a few friends with multiple models. So, i was able to experiment for free. The Joye eGo, was definately my favorite. There is definately a reason why i is so recommended.

P.S. please dont say your a nonsmoker or never smoked. I was ready to tell you to not start vaping. I really only recommend this to other smokers or smokers who have been on and off again.
