Noob - should I bother with any of these mechs (HCigar & Smok)?

Been a vaper for years. Been thinking for months now that I want to start dabbling in mech mods but decided to save my money to buy more nic base instead.

But I know a former B&M vape shop owner who has some old inventory left and is willing to trade some new-in-box vape gear for some non-vape items I have.

So this seems like a good opportunity for me to get a few mechs essentially free. But I don't any of them if they are complete utter junk/unsafe since he has other vape and non-vape stuff to trade.

In this list, which do you think may be worth having for a noob, if any...

HCigar Clones

HCigar Origin - SS

HCigar Kylin - SS

HCigar Caravela - SS
HCigar Caravela - Brass

I listed the materials available because I have no idea if that matters for these mods. I have no idea how to shop for a mech.

It all depends what you are after and expect from the trade. Nothing listed there is going to blow you away quality wise. The Hcigar mods are all clones for example, but will all work well enough.
Personally, I wouldn’t want any of those but ymmv.

As far as the HCigar clones go (I have all of those you listed), the Turtle Ship and Origen are your best bets. I use my HCigar Turtle Ship quite a bit.

The Smok mech mods are one of Smok's better products, with some exceptions. That SMOK magnetic Natural is built like a tank. Pretty easy to use, as well. As a bonus, they also have EGO connectors.

I would never buy a mech without constant contact switch anymore, just because it makes life a lot easier imo.

If you want to get a mech for cheap, take a look at the brass Overlord clone.
Simple yet effective button design, hits like a champ, quality is flawless and it is available for less than 20 bucks.

It would be better to have something with a 510 connector. He's going to have any number of attys that aren't hybrid safe.

Please keep in mind that I'm not interested in buying anything, even for a dollar. I'm only considering the ones above (if they are worthwhile for a noob and not utter junk). The stuff I will be trading for them is junk to me therefore these will essentially be free.

If these mods are utter junk (taking into consideration the manufacturer, not just the style), the guy has other vape gear he'll trade so I'm not losing out on the trade if these mechs in the list aren't even worth it for free.

It would also be helpful to know why you think any of these are junk.
