Ok, So I've been doing alot of research on my first e-cigg. I definaltey want to make the right decision, I dont really mind the cost because either way Im doing away w/ reg cigarettes, so Im still saving health and money.Im leaning towards Janty's Dura for the fact of a charging case and better batterylife but then again 901 is much more cost friendly in the long/short run. But pursmokers site says

Oh yes, taste .. smell .... and physically as well .. my chest/lungs feel "clear" .. no more coughing up a lung in the mornings, or wheezing ... I can walk from point A to point B w/o looking for the paramedics hehe

lol and now when I shampoo my hair with this terribly over priced shampoo .. it _smells_ like the shampoo for longer than 10 mins .. as opposed to Marlboro ..... imagine that !

Ok, I have a 901 and a Dura so I guess I'll jump in here.

The Dura is slightly shorter than a 901. Both are bigger than a cigarette. A penstyle is a little longer but not huge You do get used to the size quickly, no matter which you choose.

The Dura works pretty well. They have not been on the market long enough to know how long the parts tend to last, since they were introduced recently. Janty is great with warranties though so you can be assured of replacement parts if something goes bad within the warranty period. What I really like about the Dura is that the carts seem to work more efficiently; they use more of the liquid in them than other brands I've tried so you can go longer without having to top off. Battery life is good for their size too.

The 901 as you mention is a lot cheaper. Puresmoker does have a 14 day warranty and honors it, which will assure you that the product will work when you get it. Atomizer life on 901s depends on use but in general, heavy use will last a couple weeks to a month, lighter use longer. This does not necessarily mean the atomizer dies in that period of time (though some do), it means that the performance becomes noticably degraded. The batteries also wear out depending on usage, but they will generally last longer than atomizers, though I've had one die after 3 weeks.

The best thing about the 901 as opposed to the Dura is that there is a USB passthrough battery available for the 901. This replaces the battery and allows you to vape all day at the computer or using a USB battery pack without being bothered with recharging e-cig batteries all the time. It also gives consistent hits which you will not find when using the regular 901 battery - but the Dura is good for consistent hits too. The USB passthrough does not come in the kit, it is a separate item.

Whatever you buy, I highly recommend buying an extra atomizer, especially if you will be trying to quit smoking. When these things die it takes at least a couple days to get new parts.

It's been way too long since I started smoking I woke up today hacking and coughing so much I lost my voice! I even want to get started on the wheezing! Jammi98, You prove very valid points about..Well about everything really! I'm leaning towards Janty mainly the reputation and the travel powerpack but then again, I'm with a computer for half of everyday so the USB passthrough will definitely come in handy, but i also work on the road for the other half, hence powerpack. Personally I always prefer qualtiy over quanity but I can save so much more with the 901. Can caSh juice work with the Dura?

You can also get a thingie that plugs into your car charger socket to convert it to USB. Not sure of the name, but I've seen people on here recommend them.

The Dura's battery life is quite good, even without the charger (which I did not buy). A fresh battery, plus carrying a spare should last you throughout a work day unless you are constantly vaping away. The 901's battery, not so good, but the passthrough makes it work for me.

Edit: Forgot to mention that yes, any reputable liquid will work fine with any e-cig.

I`m currently using a 901 with the usb passthrough and the APC pack and yes really, it is that good. I just wish this had been my first e-cig purchase, parts are readily available and cheap
When I started, I only really refilled carts but since using the 901 I only exclusively drip straight to the atomiser, I was a bit apprehensive at first but now it`s the only way I vape as the 901 atomiser is pretty sturdy and by design makes for a good dripper. Throat hit is great with a load of vapour and with the power pack I don`t think i`ll ever go back to buying batteries again.

The 901 or the dura, you can`t go wrong.

ikenmoke , Just like you I am fairly new and u bought a mini e-cig just because I like to hold the cigarette in my lips too but just wanna let you know they are way heavier than a cigarette and penstyles are much easier to hold them by hand and almost the same weight as minis

Iken, i got my 901 starter kit from the smokeless shop and have been very happy wit hit. I did have one atomizer go bad after a week. I emailed Katy and she had a new one in the mail to me that day. At the same time i ordered two spare atomizers. All 4 are still working good. Katy is very good to do business with.
I'm down to one battery right now and i'm wishing i would of ordered a passthrough. I did make my own out of parts from one of the dead batteries that is rough and ready but kinda works. I highly recommend getting a passthrough.

I have ordered some liquid from puresmoker and that was delivered in two days. Steve DOES have awesome customer service and communication. So have no worries about ordering from him too.

I'm thinking now i should of ordered the penstyle instead of the 901. If only for the longer battery life and bigger catridge capacity. That being said the 901 does work well.

One last point, i ordered a white 901 thinking that i wanted something that looked like an analog. Now i'm wishing i would of ordered a black one with the blue led because it doesn't look like an analog. Oh well, that'll the next ecig order someday.

Sir_Puffalot, when you you said you drip right to the atomizer are you completely alleviating the cart in general? And apprehensive, How often would you say your "dripping?

Wingsofeagle 15grams 15.2 cm is the specs on the mini, I couldnt find janty's dura anywhere but anyway I just weighed a malboro 100's ciggarette which came in at a stunning 1.2g So the lips habit is going to be inevitably broken lol Sacrifice will be well worth it though.

UKUSA Good call on ordering the xtras I know for a fact when I order (today is D-day) The damage will be over $100.00 easy. I'm really glad that Katy at the shop looked out for you. That could've been pretty devastating. Puresmoker was definatly going to have my business withe liquid for sure. Especcially now that they have cherry mm cherry cola sounds like a good combo. Now onto puresmoker for that delicious juice, atomizers and carts which Im a little unsure about. If the liquid has nicotine + flavors and the carts have nicotine +flavors, how does that work? Get your USB passthrough at puresmoker too; the USB charger included in that kit is just a charger, not a way to vape via USB.

You can keep refilling the flavored carts when they run dry, or buy empty ones and fill them; it doesn't make much difference. The wool in them does start to degrade over time so they are a replacement item (I go through roughly 10 a month). You can also choose to drip into the atomizer and just use the empty mouthpiece that comes on your e-cig. For the pre-flavored carts, if you don't like the flavor, you can remove the wool with tweezers, rinse it out, let dry, pack back in, and refill.

Good choice on that kit - Katy charges the batteries up so you can vape right out of the box.
