oh - yes - and water. Sooo much water. Keeping hydrated is hecka important.

Also - IDK - this may just be a me personal thing, but I tend to brush my teeth more than I did as a smoker. Sometimes I get all cotton mouthy and while it didn't bother me when I smoked, it bothers me when I vape. So I brush and then all the flavors seem to come back to being awesome again.

Don't spend too much time and effort trying to figure out what you think you need.
Because most new vapers really have no idea what they really need.

The sooner you get started, the sooner you will learn what you like and what you don't like.
Then you will be able to make a much more informed purchase the second time around.
:)

For your first electronic cigarette only buy something that is frequently recommended here.
And buy the biggest battery model that you feel comfortable with.

And only buy from recommended vendors who are part of this forum, at least until you know what you're doing.

buy a couple of good disposables. keep one in your car, and one at home. worse case scenario, you can puff on these things until you get your gear back up and running. this bailed me out already once. i took off to work thinking my car charger was in the truck. it wasn't! reached in the glove box and used the disposable for the day. appollo has a decent disposable for about 5 bucks.

What I wished I'd gotten in that first shipment was a pass through (not even sure yet how/if it's possible with my ego twists) AND spare battery chargers.
Yea I didn't really see the appeal of pass through before but I guess your really don't realize sometimes how much you sit in front of a desk :p
You might want to swap out the clearomizer to one of the ones you haven't used so much and put the other one on the charger silly girl."

Haha

Trying to vape on batteries are that are dying - while waiting for other batteries to charge sucks!

I thought you have VV's?

.. Though again - every person is different so maybe my recommendation is to suggest trying a couple different things in regard to carties, atties, clearomizers and tanks so you can see the difference and figure out which one works best for you.

Yea its a little unfortunate that you have tell newcomers "You're going to have to get one of each type to find which is the best for you" I'm sure it can be a little off putting

The other final recommendation I would make to any noob making this plunge is that before you buy - pay careful attention to your triggers. To what makes you smoke cigs. To when you need them MOST. As others have said, vaping is different from smoking. But you have to REALLY understand how and why and when you smoke to understand what sorts of needs you will have with your PV. I have learned in my week of experience is that what I thought would be the easy times to vape (at work because I can just run back to the office and take a hit or two as opposed to going outside for a full smoke) was HARDER for me than being at home because I can just chain vape away at home - at work I have to go HOURS on end with no vaping and no cigs and when the craving gets bad I need the INSTANT satisfaction that cigs give.

I don't understand, you cant vape at work?

I was REALLY worried about nic levels so I only bought high nic levels (some are 18 some are 24) but I wish for nights like right now - I had some low level nic to just chain vape. I don't really *need* the higher ones at this point -but it's all I have.

Yea nic levels scared the crap out of me too, which is why I'm a little thankful that I took a dive into the deep end and started with DIY. My first juice was at 12mg and knocked me on my ... like a waterfall, so I threw that out and made a new one at 6, at first I thought it was a little weak but after steeping for awhile I think its a good amount. Since I have two ViVi's I keep one with a batch of 0mg and one with 6. I use the 0 as my all day and use the 6 like my real cig, when I feel like I need a real cig I pick up my 6mg go outside like I would with a real cig have a few puffs and come back inside, it is really satisfying and as a result 1 tank of 6mg Mint has lasted me 3 days now:blink:

Wow! That's awesome!! Good for you! :)

I have 3 ego twists (2 silver 1 blue) ....

I can smoke at work-ish. I can go back to the back office and smoke so long as I'm out of customer view. (I work in food service) - But when I'm out in front of people - which I am for hours at a time, just pulling my pv out of my pocket and having a vape in the middle of making someone's dinner and all just isn't advised ;)

I have three of these things running and I find it impossible to realized when they need a charge till it's darn near too late.

Pbusardo reviewed a couple of Twist class passthroughs. I got the one from LJ's E-Smokes and am very pleased with it. If you get the one from LJ's you also might want to try a sample of the UpStomp juices. I will be reordering two out of the three I tried and will be getting samples of some other UpStomp flavors.

Haha, I have a good relationship with my manager at the bistro I work at, she gets pissy at me when I vape inside but I she knows I find it hilarious when she gets wound up so she tries not to show it. I'm surprised 3 ego twists isn't lasting you my 1000mah could last me all day if I vape somewhat conservatively
