    Somewhere between here and there
First of all, no question is stupid. Yes it's ok to drink while using snus. I always have something that I'm drinking while using snus. I think that I read somewhere that some things can affect the ph levels in your mouth and therefore affect how the nic/wta's are absorbed. This I can tell you for sure. I drink usually two cups of coffee in the morning while having a snus portion in and tend to follow the rest of the day with water or diet soda and snus works just fine for me.

Hi there...my apologies if this is a dumb question, but wondering if it's ok to drink water/coffee or anything while you are using snus?

Just don't forget to take it out to eat. I made that mistake with a mini portion once. Now if I start eating and can't remember taking it out, I get that anxiety that I swallowed it until I look in the tin cap. Not that swallowing it is that bad, but you really don't want to break it open while chewing your food, trust me.

Thanks so much for your input!! I will be careful to take it out when I eat for sure. My second day using snus, I accidentally bit my portion between my teeth...what a mess!!:)

There ya go. Now imagine that mess mixing with whatever you were chewing on. I just had one leak on me a couple days ago (I tend to leave them in pretty long. It requires a quick trip to the bathroom to gargle the crap out from between your teeth before you smile at the person next to you.

Oh, gross! I work w/the public all day long so would not want a blackish smile (if they get a smile at all). What was your first clue? I mean did you know it had leaked by tasting or feeling "something wrong" or did you glance in a mirror and discover the problem?

Trust me, you won't need a mirror to notice. describing it is a bit harder. A wet mud feeling in you mouth, but I never tasted wet mud. OT When I was a kid we had sat down to eat a chicken dinner. My sister took the first bit and announced that she wasn't going to eat the chicken because it tasted like "band-aids"! Now I'm sure she never tasted a band aid, as no one in the family had. However, we all took a taste and agreed, it tasted like band-aids.
Can't remember what we finally ate, but it wasn't that chicken.
