Noobie Tech Question - Any "Cheap" Li-Ion Chargers with CC/CV ?

I've read "constant voltage" "constant current" are both needed to insure auto-off at end of charge. And I will be adding protection circuit modules to unprotected panasonic 18650's, so am also afraid of having to modify the holder so they'll fit with the added 2 mm length.

Can anyone point me to something cheap that will work ok, something 450 mAh or better?

or anyone have experience with one that's too tight and what you did (was it hard)?

ps: I've looked at all of them on DX and All-Battery.com and each has something bad in the reviews (doesn't stop charging after green, or fit). Also, I've read the article about Shekor's as an alternative.

You can get the TR-001 charger, for like $10-12 bucks and it does not over charge, it shuts off the charge for the 18650, 16340,14500 etc. Lots of suppliers have them, I got one from Provape.com. Its a good solid and cheap charger. Pila chargers cost a lot more but do the same thing, is that what you were asking?

Thanks, but candlepowerforums guys say termination was better on previous board ver of TR-001

still looking if anyone can recommend something under $15 that has proper termination all the time.
