Each Weds I will post an old show, toy, product, song, or etc for us to be nostalgic about.

Remember Discovery Zone????



I sooooo wish they still had these centers around!!! When my son was younger, I was looking for one to bring him to, but they were all gone This chain business had centers in several different states, but ending up failing and every one of them closed. From what I read, many of them were bought and made into new Chuck E. Cheese's.

I remember it was like one big maze. You'd enter the maze, and climb up, and there would be slides, ball pits, bridges, ropes, etc. It was a lot of exercise and it was a lot of fun!! I never got hurt there, though I heard some kids did get hurt. I'm not sure how anyone got hurt really badly considering everything seemed well padded, and I never knew a kid that got hurt there....

Does anyone else remember and have fond memories of this place?

I don't ever remember taking my kids to one of these. When they were little, our days of fun were at the barn, riding horses and mucking stalls or going to horse shows...

Yeah, life was tough in those days

I feel deja-vu lol. I wonder if I brought up this topic somewhere before. That's so cool that there is still ONE out there at least!!! I wish they still had them in IL!!
