Not a newbie but have newbie question about RBA

I have a Phoenix rba. Is it safe to continue using it year after year and only replacing the silica wick and kanthal coil? Will anything nasty build up in there? Or is it too soon for us to tell?

First time with a rba and first time rebuilding it. I did an okay job, yea its making that popping sound.

Also for those thinking that its too much work...

I'm not familiar with that particular RBA, but I see no reason why it could'nt be cleaned with alcohol or an ultrasonic cleaner from time to time, and should be cleaned from time to time, just makes sense.

Been using my Phoenix for about a year. Mine does get some gunk around the center post and the o ring in the bottom seems to have started leaking. So I think there is somewhat of a life span. But this thing has ran for countless hours. And the newest version is only 8 bucks at hoosiervapes so I went ahead and replaced mine recently.

Never thought about cleaning it with alcohol. Might try that

Thanx. Mine is getting kind of dirty at the bottom. Doesnt come off that easy. Seems like a stain.

soak it in alc, rinse in hot water. as long as the posts dont get loose or abused there is no reason it shouldnt last a long time, besides something like a phoenix can be had for 4-5 bucks, if you ever want more then one.
