Sorry for posting this but needed to vent.

I paid $26 to overnight some e-juice from v4l and they shipped on time so this is totally not their fault. Stupid USPS could not get it to my door on time though. Now instead of overnight, it's overweekend.

Is there any recourse that I can take towards the usps? Like is there a number I can call and they send some guy to my house so I can punch him in the face?

What if this had been lifesaving medication? (It's pretty close imo)

Ok, done with my rant. thank you to v4l for their great service and quick answers to my emails.

Sgood: Normally Express mail from the USPS is the equivalent of overnight mail BUT there are some locations where overnight is not possible - this normally applies to remote locations . . .

I would go to usps.com type in V4L's zip code (60091) and yours and see what they say about overnight mail.

I've been shipping with USPS for over 12 years and sometimes I do plug in a zip code and USPS will not guarantee overnight to the zip in question.

I believe it also depends on when v4l dropped it off at PO or when it got picked up as some POs have cut off times for Express packages (some are 4:30pm - some are 5:30pm, etc.) UPS also just started with this as well :(

The only 'complaint' I have with USPS and V4L is their rates to Canada. I know we're not in the same country, but c'mon, Ontario is still closer to Illinois than a lot of STATES are and yet our shipping rate is 25.00 regardless of WHAT we order? And, it takes between 7-12 days to receive them.

I don't mind the wait so much, I know it's not V4L's fault, but c'mon guys, it does NOT cost 25.00 to send a 5 pack of carto's in the mail.

Just sayin'

The email I sent to v4l asked if express meant overnight to which I received a reply of "Yes, it's overnight."

I guess I was just assumed that meant that it was overnight. If I had known that this did not mean it's overnight I would NOT have paid $26.95 extra to get it. I thought that was pretty steep for overnight but it was worth it as I did not want to have to resort to analogs for the weekend which I have now had to do. Gonna have to reset my quit meter now :(

AHHH! You didn't have a back-up?

Well, just so long as you DO reset it! You were doing so well!

Best of luck sgood1971, we're rooting for you!!!

Yes, never again without a backup plan. I just have to start ordering earlier. :(

Well I know there is prolly a complaint line.
Umm, we are talking about the United States Postal Service, right? Complaint line? Nah. I stand corrected.

I did the same thing Friday. It shipped on time and I slept right through the delivery attempt. Found that cute little peach form in my mailbox. Argggg. Called their customer service number, it definitely wasn't Val at the other end, she said that the system was down and couldn't even tell me where the post office was.

More to the story after that, happy ending and all, but that won't make you feel any better.

Having a few analogs isn't the end of the world so don't beat yourself up about it.

"Express Mail® is our fastest service for time-sensitive letters, documents or merchandise. Guaranteed overnight delivery to most locations or your money back"

Put the zip codes in here:
USPS - Express Mail Service Commitments

I just put the zip codes in and it popped up 2 days so I guess that it would not help to call a complaint line. Until I started vaping I never shipped things through the mail, the few things I did order online came fed-ex or ups which I have to say puts usps to shame.

Since I had never really dealt with sending things through the mail, I was unfamiliar with how they operated and figured that like fed-ex overnight meant "overnight".

Just a suggestion to vendors who offer express mail would be to put a disclaimer somewhere that states that express only means overnight if you do not live in a rural area (I'm not that far from civilization at any rate) or even better a link to the page Redrose provided so you can find out for yourself if express will get there.

I guess it becomes an issue if the vendor said Overnight, and then didn't meet the Overnight drop-off time.

I am sure that the vendor, like myself did not know that express does not always equal overnight. I can not imagine anyone with the great reputation that v4l has deliberately lying.

I guess I have to chalk this one up to a lesson learned and either find a vendor closer to myself or start stocking up earlier.

Thanks for your help everyone.
