Not into "sweet" to any degree, anything herbal?

I've quit smoking cigarettes and have been vaping for a few weeks, but I can't find an eliquid that's not sweet. Found one that's not incredibly sweet, but still had a sweet finish. I'd love one that tastes herbal. Any suggestions?
Hi Holly and Welcome,

First I would suggest you try some unflavoured e juice. Just nicotine, PG, and VG. Many enjoy the simplicity of the flavour. Unflavoured (at your nicotine level) can also be mixed with retail juice to reduce the sweetness and smooth out highly flavoured mixes.
Have a peek at this site: Alice in Vapeland | All Natural Vape Juice I think you might find something you like.
Oh and try to source some UK juices/flavours. For example: Dandelion and Burdock flavour. Simple Vape Co. - Seven - Dandelion & Burdock

Best of luck

DIY is probably the quickest way to get to non sweet juice. But it can pose more challenges for a new vaper to deal with.

One flavor that comes to mind is anise. This site might give you some ideas

Bull City Flavors - Best Prices on Flavoring

After a quick scan of the fruits these came up.
cranberry
cucumber
fig
pumpkin spice
taro

I don't have a specific recommendation, but I do agree that too much sweetness can be handled by adding some unflavored, etc. Haven't vaped vanilla in a long time (it made me hoarse, but that might have been starting) and added some to a tank, it's pretty nauseatingly sweet. I might start using *drops* of what I have because it is jampacked full of sweetener, I think, and I am thinking that some of my DIY juices need a *bit* of sweetener. The amount I added to my DIY juice was way too much, LOL.

VG is by nature a sweet flavored liquid... there are some juices that are in the fruit flavors which lack the sweetness due to the tart flavor characteristics of the fruit ( dark cherry for example)... not too many flavors out there that are "non-sweet"

ever consider NETs? ( naturally extracted tobaccos)... most of those can be considered "non-sweet"...

Thank you so much. I'm fine with flavorless. But, the guy who sold me my vape and liquid said they all taste sweet because one of the primary oils?/ingredients? is sweet by nature? Heck, I don't know. Do you think "flavorless" will also be "sweet?" . Thank you so much for helping me.

With DIY you control the amount sweetness, also there additives like TFA Smooth to cut tart/sweet sharp notes down in a eliquid.

I'm currently using "Blackberry Milk", Nic=3. The goal is Nic=0. I thought this would be temporary, while I quit cigs, but if I LIKE it, why not continue?

It sounds like there's nothing available that tastes like marijuana, for instance. That's what I'm looking for. I also thought basil, rosemary, with hints of lime, etc. Savory.

Anyway, thanks for your input. I think I'll vape with the Blackberry Milk til it runs out and see how I handle running out before deciding how to proceed. Cheers.

Do you think "flavorless" will also be "sweet?"

Quite possibly, especially if it is VG heavy. That said, a lot of people also find PG to be sweet as well. For me personally PG is bitter so I mix max VG juices which in turn, allows me to forgo use of any additonal sweeteners. However, I'm not adverse to sweet juices, I just don't like them as sickingly sweet as the ones available commercially usually are.

Trying unflavored however is probably a good idea to start however. If you still find it to be too sweet, you may have to look to more savory flavors and create your own juices.

VG- Vegetable glycerine has a mild, natural, sweet-ish flavour. I don't consider it sweet as much as not bitter, acrid, sharp nor unpleasant. VG should not taste "chemically either.

I have no idea what VG and PG means

Vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol--the base of most e-liquids. I often vape unflavored--just nicotine, PG and VG. I prefer 70 or 60% PG mixes. Not sweet at all. If you like herbal vapes, you may enjoy tea flavors--green tea, black tea, white tea. Earl Grey is usually too sweet, although pleasantly herbal (bergamot).

In my DIY progression I was thinking I was going to be at Zero but after making some 1.5MG and getting a bottle of retail Zero I pretty much immediately added nicotine to make it 3MG because in my opinion it just lacked something. After adding enough Nic to make it 3MG it actually tasted better to me. Been at 3MG for almost 3 years and now considering maybe making higher percentages. Just my personal opinion from my experience.

Thank you. I'm so glad I came to this forum. So much to learn.
