Not loving it yet....

I got a Sig #8 along with a Kanger Pro, iClear 30, and an AGA T2 in the vape mail this week, and I have yet to find the lure of the mod that many of you rave about . I want to. I really, really want to!!! Just not there yet. Started right off with the AGA, my first shot at an rba. My Kanthal had not arrived yet, so I built it up with the included wire and mesh (which I read was sub-par). Admittedly, my first attempt ever at an RBA. It took some time to get something usable, but for about an hour or so I was starting to see the lure! Then the coil popped.... While I waited for my order of wire to arrive I tried out the Kanger. FANTASTIC clouds, HORRIBLE metal taste. I tried to power through it for a couple of tanks, but it just seemed to be getting worse. That little guy is now soaking in vinegar and will soon be in a boiling bath to try to get rid of the rank taste. I haven't tried the iClear yet. I think I'm going to wait until I mix up some new juice later tonight. Now back to the AGA... Got my Kanthal in, but I ordered 28ga and I'm not really happy with the results. I wrapped a fairly nice (for a newb) 5/4 at 1.3 ohms, but I'm not loving the vape from the 28ga. Time to order more supplies... Luckily I have my MVP, so I can still vape on while I play with the mod!!

cut about 4 to 6in of wire get it glowing red with your torch along the entire length of the wire. It helps make it a little more playable when your wrapping your coil. 28ga is pretty stiff and takes a little practice.

Ya, i did that, and this coil went much smoother than the first! I had a couple of hot spots but I played with this one for no more than 3 or 4 minutes and its been trouble free for the past 3 hours. I'm still hitting it between vapes with the MVP. I think I just need to experiment with some different gauge wires until I can find the one that fits my taste. The flavor just isn't quite where I would like it to be yet... I think I'll pick up some ribbon, wick, and rope while I'm at it. I want to try everything and see how they work for me.

Thats what I like playing with them! Also try youtubing the drill bit method

I trumped the drill bit method with my "calibrated pin gauge" method. Same basic principle, but I can adjust the diameter of the coil in .001" increments until I find what I like!!!
