I was an active forum member back in 2008 and 2009, but moved on to other things. Now I'm back and see that alot has changed with e-cigs (and, that I can't post in any forum but the "new guy" forum).

I've ordered an eGO tank kit but have a specific question.

Back in the day, I used to drip directly on the atomizer. It worked well for me and I could switch out flavors easily. I'd like to be able to do something similar with the eGO but that doesn't seem to be an option with the tank system. What would you guys recommend (that's compatible with the eGO battery) for someone who likes to switch out flavors a lot?

If you have been a dripper before, you know that you can drip to get a good taste of what you like. That being said, I would get an atty and use it to test flavors that you would like to consistently vape and use those flavors in the tanks. It's all what you end up feeling like soothes you're cravings in my experience. I hoped this helped! Have a good night! :)

Since I ordered the eGo Tank, I'd need an eGo atomizer body, the atomizer head and a drip tip, correct?
Or... a CE2/CE3 clearomizer and a drip tip?

Just want to make sure I get the right stuff... the game has changed a bit in the last four years.

You are talking about a replaceable head atty, which you don't have to get. If you are wanting to get an atty to drip for tasting, I would just get a standard resistance 510 atty 2.0ohm. Clearomizers are similar to cartomizers difference being that clearos have a wick and cartos have polyfil- again that's all in preference. I prefer the wicking over polyfil.

This is a picture of a tank with a wick

I don't know that site, I was just using the picture.

If your tank has polyfil in it, it will look like there is cotton inside a tube that runs through your tank, unlike the picture in the link above where is has a wick running through an atty inside the tank.

You might know that stuff I just want to be thorough.

So, you have tanks. I would recommend getting 2 or 3 attys at 2.0ohm and a drip tip- you don't have to be all fancy with the drip tip, just get a drip tip that fits a 510 atty.

I know I probably rambled, but I want to make sure I am being as thorough as possible, yet not confusing. If you want to ask me a question that I may have not answered you can pm me. I will get to it quicker. I really hoped this helped!
