A friend just last week was able to vape at the Denver airport, in the non smoking section. Congrats and welcome.

Woohooo! That's good to know because my son lives in Denver so I do fly in and out of there... as well as to Phoenix a lot. With the usual transfer hubs like Houston, Atlanta, Ft. Worth, etc. Yay. :)

OK.. so how do I "steep"... please elaborate. It seems sometimes this is necessary or helpful with some e-liquids. Appreciate in advance. :)

With HHV, the recommendation is 48 hours cap and dripper tip off. Shake a few times daily, whenever you think about it, cap and dripper back on and put it away for a couple of weeks. Shake when you think about it. If you bought the sample sizes, the should be good right away, depending on when they were mixed from a large batch and dispensed into the sample bottles.

The NET (naturally extracted tobacco) from HHV benefit from steeping the most. To be sure to get the best out of those samples, steep for a week. Smaller sizes steep faster than the larger sizes.

I have a blog on steeping. Under my avatar you can click on the number in blue and choose the one that is about steeping.

Nice to have you aboard :)

With patience! Take off the top (including the little dropper top) and put in a cool dark place for 24 - 48 hours. Reassemble & shake shake shake! Wait a week :glare: Yeah - that's the hard part! Some folks use a hot water bath that can accellerate the process. I've enjoyed reading thru this post & meeting you, welcome welcome!!! :toast:

What Robino said:laugh: Listen to her, she's a lot smarter than I am - I'm still pretty new myself:blush:

Everything I've learned has been from reading ECF........a LOT of reading.

The atomizer is just the coil that heats the ejuice. A cartomizer has the atomizer (bottom) and some filler with the ejuice.

The drip tip setup is just a hollow cylinder with an atomizer in the bottom and a mouthpiece (drip tip). You just put a few drops for a few vapor hits.

A clearomizer is a clear version of a cartomizer. Some use long wicks and others use small ones instead of the filler found in traditional cartomizers. You can reuse a clearo without any flavor mixing. Just wash it and fill up.

OK... back to the drip tip. I have ordered some clearomizers. Shall I just add a few drops into the clearomizer through the drip tip for those "every now and then" sweet flavor treats? Is that how it's done? Does it need to be a bottom coil clearo or can it be either? And what about the regular cartridges.. the funky little polyfiber filled things. Can I pull out the filler and still use the cartridge by adding a drip tip and a few drop of yummy ? I have a basketful of polyfiber cartridges laying around htat I know I'll never use again..... ???

Do those cartridges attach to the atty? Or are they one piece? If they attach to the atomizer, lose the cartridge. The drip tip should fit onto the atomizer. If you can post picture, that will help in determining what exactly you're working with.

One piece units are cartomizers. Two pieces are cartridges and atomizer.

As far as I can tell, they are one piece cartridges. Like the ones that come on NJoy, and all the cig-a-likes out there. My HALO starter kit came with a 5 pack of cartos as well.. just screw them onto the 510 style battery. You can buy 3 or 5 packs of them. But I also ordered a mini tank for this set up, which is what I use, because I just don't like the cartos. But if I can use them to attach a drip tip to, I'll hold onto them.

Dripping is done with an atomizer. What you have are carto's. A cartomizer is basically the cartridge and atomizer in one piece. Drip tip is just the common name for the mouth piece that attaches to whatever device your using. There are more specialized drip tips for just dripping. Aaaaaaand that's about the extent of my tech knowledge

So... I can't use these to drip juice into with a drip tip? If I take out the filler fluff? Yes? No? I will need the specialized drip tip? Am I understanding this correctly? Sorry to be such a pain...:?:

Going to Google it now... :D

    HA ! :D

I'm a vaping fool !!! I just ripped out the filler fluff from one of my little gas station off brand e-cigs (I have a slew of these) and dripped 3 drops of e-juice in there, replaced the little end cap, took a draw...
    and............. *POOF* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes.. it WORKS! I have so many of these cartomizers laying around.. I can just top them off with a pretty drip tip and put them to use for my "sweet treat flavors". Works without the drip tip, too.. just have to remove the end cap each time, but I have a couple drip tips on order already. I've spent enough the past three days on all my new goodies, I can do this for awhile until I decide it's time to splurge a little again on some new sharp looking atomizers.

Damn, I'm good. :headbang: Nothing like a little experimentation.

    Yay for you!! :D
I don't drip so I really couldn't begin to help you in that area. Over on the HHV thread, don't worry about asking anything at all. We all like to help in all areas and there is a TON of knowledge over there. If you have any questions at all, there is someone always popping in that will be able to help you out!
