All i can say about todays training is it's damn intimidating sitting in a room full of experienced CNC machinists trying to grasp the fundamentals of whats going on when they've been doing it for years. I did learn some basics like how to power up the machine and set tool and work offsets with the toolsetter. Someday i hope to learn it enough to be completely proficient on it, and for now, at least proficient enough so that when my machinist leaves for the day i can keep the machine running parts he had it set up and programmed for.

Dave you got a top of the line cnc, haas? Okuma? Mazak? Without knowing how to use one? Oh my lord!! U got some balls mr. Lol
Last place I worked at got a haas VR-4 and a SL-10 brand new, nobody was allowed to touch em till the haas guy showed up, I didn't know anything about cncs but learned setups in three months, then program editing after that, now I'm getting to know featurecam really well and slowly getting solidworks down too.
If u have those two programs and feature cam has all the post processors you need for your machine, learn setups and some editing, featurecam will do the rest hehe.
U gotta post pics of the bad boy man

QFT :D I don't even know what a modern CNC looks like . . . where I work we've got ancient equipment (an old Mori-Seiki that still has a tape reader for memory, 1960's Bryant and Heald grinders, about the newest things we have are some 25+ year old Eurotechs). And to think we actually make satellite parts on them

Lol @ ladymamas comment

I always thought it was mom:( Well, the good news is training is over and the other good news is the teacher crashed the machine today, not me:) He was trying to mill the face of the stock using the radial live tooling and Y axis and he plunged the end mill right into the stock snapping the end mill off! Glad it wasn't me...lol...

Hey Julio, I think he said he has a guy to help him run it, either way I am very excited for SuperT and all of us customers.
