I've been vaping now for a little over 2 months, analog free since the minute I picked up my pv. My question now is what is next? I'm using the echo which is a 1300mah auto batt and I love most aspects of it. Love the fact that the batt lasts ALL day, every day. I like the fact that it is auto but it isn't completely sealed so I do worry every now and then about shorting the battery out. My biggest complaint about it is the cartos, the rock when they are brand new but they go bad really quick and are pretty expensive. Oh, and not really happy about the fact that it is 808 threading. All that being said, what would y'all suggest for my next step? It has to be cheapish so no provari for me yet but I would like VV I think. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Well here are my thoughts on the matter and I am sure you will get many others.

Entry level VV

Under $100.oo
-3vo "Evo" From 310vapers.com - also known as the Akston hughes SVR
The whole setup would cost you under $100 and although not truely variable voltage does give you 4 setting to vape on.

- Lavatube type device About $75.00 for the whole setup. The LT is truely variable voltage however it does have voltage limiting to prevent the user from cranking it way up on a lower ohm carto. This may present a problem for users who like DCT's and like turning the juice way up. Not a problem for most causual users.

-Madvapes variable voltage box mod. $48.oo Mod only Depends on setup and batteries purchased. Mod is user customizable and can be had for less if the user builds it.

Sub $200
-Buzz Pro This is a no frills device that will really crank out the power. Device only is $129 Batts 11.00 charger around $20

$200 and up

-A darwin can be had for around $232
-Provari $240 + batts + extension cap + charger

That being said I own a Bolt, LT,Buzz Pro and a Evo. They all have their place
My LT and my bolt are my backup mods.
My Buzz is my do it all mod. I dont like taking this to work. It is a great mod and would stand up but I fear I would damage it and it is far too expensive to be damaged in my rough line of work.
My Evo is my take to work mod. It is fairly inexspensive, has a travel cap for the tank carto and all. I buy cartos that will be well suited for my buzz or my evo so they are drop ins either device.

I hope this helps.

Going minimalist I would buy a 2nd device with a 510 connection. Your needs and usage will determine which PV will work best for you. For being on the go and convenience recommend a Reo Mini. VariVolt or VariWatt is excellent and will help you to determine what voltages are best for you. Mechanical mods IMHO are the lookers of the group and are quite durable. Also buy juice if you are currently using the pre-filled cartomizers.

I'd definately add some atomizers to the list. Your atomizer purchase will need to be matched to your mod and the voltage or batteries that you'll use. Atomizers really allow you to get the flavor of your juice. They have a bit of a learning curve so watch a video or post here once you get them.

Congrats on your success in quitting the stinkeys and Welcome to the ECF!!

If you like and and you're happy with it, stick with it and just pick up different cartos. New mods/pvs are coming out every day. Wait till the dust settles and reviews come in on the recent pvs that have hit the market and then decide.

You may want to try a vv or if filling is an issue for you, look into feeder type mods.

I second the Lavatube for a reasonably priced VV. If you don't want to mess with cartomizers clogging up, you can use a tank or do what I did and get a Vision Stone tank. For $12, it fits the LT like it was made for it, holds 3.5ml and has no carto to punch or clog up. You can replace the CE2 style guts for $3. Mine has been working for weeks now without an issue.

Theres a 20% off coupon code, "Reddit", that expires after 3/25, but you can get one from Apolloecigs.com for about $60 shipped for the whole kit. They call it the "V-Tube". If you hurry, for a few bucks more, you can get the much improved limited edition Stainless steel model if they're not sold out by now.

Yeah, box mods aren't for everybody. I've had them and felt like I was vaping a garage door opener. I don't like the idea having to open a box up to see or adjust the voltage either, especially if it takes a screwdriver to do it. My next box mod will be the Reo VV with a display. I'll make an exception for that one.
