Now the proud owner of a Reo Grand

Hi everybody!

Got my Reo Grand LP and LP Reomizer today in the mail! This is my first mechanical mod and it is definitely something else!
I've been using regulated box mods for a couple months now - I have a Vaporshark rDNA and the MVP.
Loving the aluminum of the Grand and the overall build quality is excellent!

I posted pictures of my build - 8 wraps of 26 gague kanthal @ 1.08 ohms. Does this seem correct to you guys? My battery is an AW 18650 1600mAh.
Also, are there any recommended alternatives to the Reomizer? I enjoy the flavor, but I would like something an airy draw.
My friend suggested drilling out the air holes, but I don't have access to a drill currently. Would any of the other reomizers on the reos mods website fit the bill?



I don't know if this will replace my rDNA+magma for every day use, but I think they compliment each other very well.

You don't need a drill to enlarge the airhole on your RM2, it's brass. Take a 1/16 drill bit and you can just twist it to that size and use larger bits as needed.

What he said, the brass is soft and can be hand drilled. I went with 1/16th inch and it's perfect for me.

You can ream out the RM2's air hole per the above, but if you like an airier draw, a recommendation from Rob's site would be the RM4. It will fit on your LP, has a larger chamber that suites dual coil setups, and has afc so you can dial in the flow to your liking.

Many peeps use Magmas modded for bottom feeding and the current darling of the lung hitting crowd is the Odin. Neither of those are available via Rob's site.

edit: Oh, and as far as coil placement with the RM2 goes, you'll want it as close to the edge as possible without touching the cap, and positioned right at the air hole.

Welcome to the 'ville! Your reo is looking right at home...

Nice build you got, and good set of batteries, hopefully you're using a decent charger? Maybe try a smaller micro coil and higher gauge of wire? Maybe its just me, but I'm thinking a smaller coil, but around the same resistance, might give you a better vape with that airhole....and drilling it out might be what you want to do too....

For an airey draw, the RM4 is probably your best bet. (Or odin when they are available) ... It has option for single/dual coil (but dual coil is the way to go) and it has AFC... I run mine with a 0.5ohm dual 1.4mm coil with 28ga...

Once you dip below 1ohm, you really should use the noalox or deoxit gold...to reduce the oxidation and prevent your mod from having any problems further down the road...

I'd start at 1/16" and move up as needed RM2 is soft and easy to hand drill as said above. Your coil looks huge most of us use a 1/16 inside diameter coil, your amount of cotton looks spot on. You might want to check out the Odin from Loki Labs. There's high praise for it in a thread on here. I don't know enough about the RM's above the RM2 I do have many RM2's, a BF Divo, a few Cyclones with and without the AFC, and the Igo BF. I find the smaller attys to have better flavor than the large chamber attys I have. Welcome to the mad house of happy vapers. Congrats on your Black Dub White door.

ETA cut an inverted V in your feed tube it will prevent the tube from sucking itself to the bottom or side of the juice bottle

Super-X has a thread devoted to them.

What i want to know, based on his new avatar is where i can get a Reo as big as my torso?

The RM2s i have are either stock for HRH, or drilled out to 5/64" for me. If i need more air than that then i'm better off using a different atty.
