Nuppin won't connect to my LP

I bought a Nuppin v1 from the classies a few weeks ago, but due to some issues I hadn't gotten around to trying it until today. I just built it, and have discovered I can't get an electrical connection with the 510 in my LP Grand. It does read on my ohmmeter and I just fired it on a Stingray X.

Anything I can do? Can't really afford to have my 510 changed out for the new one, nor can I afford a new Reo

I don't have a nuppin so I'm not familiar with them. I'm assuming you have the old style 510. Is the center pin on the nuppin adjustable?

I wondered that. If it is, I'm not strong enough to bust it loose I gave it a try.

Right, I have the non adjustable 510.

Does anyone think a small washer would work? I doubt I have a SS one small enough sitting around.

when you can afford it, the adjustable 510 is really worth it for that reason. I had an atty clone that was given to me that the pin was high up in and it fires fine once I raised the 510 pin in the Reo. I know that don't help for now though. Just took my V1 nuppin off the woodvil and it does have the slot, but I've been told that doesn't necessarily mean that it's adjustable on the atty. Hope you get it figured out the V1 is my favorite atty by far

If you mean in the connector you would be risking a short. The threads are the negative and the center pin is the positive. That would give you a solid "on" connection.

Well, $30 for the new 510 plus $6 shipping each way. $42 is kind of a lot for a new 510

Yes, in the connector between the mod's positive and the atty's like a spacer.

That would set you up for a constant fire on which would be a very bad thing unless you would be planning on removing the atty after every hit.

Are you sure? It works with regulated mods that don't have adjustable 510s, but I've never tried it on a mech.

You have 2 options. 1 you can adjust the center post screw a few turns to lower it.. 2 you can try pushing up the center pin on the reo itself on the old 520 connection. Just remove the door and bend out your bottle and push up on the tube right below the pin and it should move up slightly enough to make contact.

Roxy I've had to push up the pin in my older 510 to get one of my clone atties to fire. That will work but u may have to push it up again and again because it will work it's way back down.

I can't get the Nuppin's pos pin loose without resorting to serious force, so I'll try the Reo. I'll report back in a few.

I had the same problem with a few drippers not connecting on the Old 510. All I did was... PULL the Center Pin out little at a time, and checking each time I pulled it out. Finally, it made connection and fired right up.

One of the benefits of the New 510 is adjusting it out to where it will connect with Center Pins that are a little short. I'm gonna send my Copper Vein in eventually to have it changed out.

I agree with Ckquatt. Clones SUCK! Don't really want to hear about them.
