Being unfriendly to tourists will cost them. Tourism is huge in NY. I have nothing but contempt for places that ban vaping and leave cigarettes for sale the same as always. That's what you expect from corrupt 3rd world nations, not places like NY. Where there are possession bans on minors for both cigs and vape gear the police will continue to ignore kids smoking but crack down on kids vaping. Cigarettes pay taxes. Police are tax supported. I'll be amazed if there are attempts to squeeze out existing business by rationiing licenses. Something like that was attempted in PA, remember? Last I heard the FBI is investigating legislators. I'm sure any new gas station or convenience store gets a tobacco license automatically. Otherwise no more of those businesses would be opened. Discriminating against vape gear would be flagrantly uneven justice. I'd be even more amazed if it survived a court challenge.
