Hey everyone, obviously a new Reo user! Main question is... What's the point of the O ring around the 510 connection? I thought to prevent leaking but I see ppl mention align air flow, how does that work & why does it work better with different sizes? Just wondering how it controls AF? Probably stupid question lol, gotta ask!
Before I realized it had an effect on AF I got advise on what size O rings to use for my Odin & I'm horrible with math as converting 1.5 x 15 mm |think that's what someone suggested] as they're in 3/4 x 5/8 & so on inches @ my local ace lol. I just found out my dad who is a mechanic has 2 boxes of almost every size, unfortunately not labeled though:( I think he will be my O ring source lol. OK, off subject... If you pros can enlighten me on this I would appreciate it. Is there a specific way to align it, how tight to you screw the atty, does the size of the O ring help vapor & all that good stuff :p Sorry, that's like 10 questions in 1 post lol. Thanks everyone :)

Oh yah, some ppl are picky on having your AFC hole on your atty face you or face away from you when you vape. Some think it improves taste which mostly depends on atty & build Imo. Does anyone get specific with how your AFC is placed when you vape? This may pertain more to regular dripping then BF & Reo's but just curious!!

This is it -- the reason for the o-ring. So that you can adjust where the air hole falls (between 10 and 2 like Mrs. C said) in relation to where your mouth is when you vape.

You want the hole to be somewhere between 10 and 2 when you are inhaling.

eta this keeps you from drowning the coil, and prevents leaking from the air hole if you have over squonked
10 & 2? As in a clock position lol?.... So if my Reo is facing me [front door] I want my airhole to be in between 10 & 2?
Oh wait haha... 10 & 2 for both airholes on atty. I run single coil alot so what's best for That?
Also, still lost on the shim part, sorry:( My brain isn't processing how an O ring changes air? I can see if O-ring is thicker it won't thread as far or thinner O-ring, vice versa..

It does not change the air flow. Just the position of the air hole when mounted. When you tilt the reo to take a hit you want the air hole on the top so extra juice or condensation does not leak out the hole. I like my air hole facing the button, when I hold the Reo I fire it with my finger. Some people like the air hole facing away from the button and fire with their thumb.

What FB said. The 10 and 2 position means when your firing the Reo the air hole should be pointed away from your face somewhere between the 10 and 2 position. FB has it pointed towards the firing button, people that thumb press have it pointing the exact opposite direction, some even have it pointed towards the door or back it all depends on how you hold it when vaping. If you get o-rings the main thing for non metric is the thickness of the ring itself. You've noticed the ones on the site are 1.0 and 1.5 MM that is the thickness, the 10 is the diameter of the o-ring. A non metric o-ring should be 1/16 to 1/8 thickness and 7/16 in diameter. As has been said above the o-rings have nothing to do with air flow. It does help seal to prevent leaks and position the air hole to the best direction for your vape. Hope this helps.

These guys have it the O-ring subject covered, I think... I just wanted to add a bit about the airhole placement. I have noticed that if the air hole is facing the button, I can 'taste my hand'... sounds funny, but what I mean is that with the air that is drawn in near my hand, I can 'taste' what smell may be on my hands - like just after I wash my hands, I get a hint of the soap scent through the air hole if it is facing the button - so I make sure the airhole(s) don't face the button... took me a little bit to figure out what was giving the off taste, so thought I'd share. :p

So I assume air hole as in top cap correct? I have 2 AF slits so do I want it like the picture below, 1 in front & 1 in back? Other wise it's side to side by my thumb. Looks funny like that lol, could turn it little more to side. My air flow in Odin isn't 10 & 2 so impossible. I'm SURE I'M making this more difficult lol. Had my perfect way with my old mod... I push button by my thumb & turn sideways. Also, seems like it just isn't getting enough power sometimes, even w/ full battery. Had Magneto & that hit harder. Obviously I wanna get this o ring position right lol.... Oh, FYI... I OVER THINK EVERYYYYYYYTHING haha....

I'm gonna make a new thread with a video, just not getting vapor like I feel I should. Made my coils @ 5 am so not perfect, not horrible though... But for .60 should be better... I'm doubting my Reo:(

Can you post a picture of your coils, looking down from above?
