When I recieved this tank with the included coil I stuffed my usual cotton bacon 2 in it and it was heaven.
Since then using my own ss wire I am having great difficulty getting this tank to wick well. Thick, thin, long, short, tapered etc etc with no joy.
My latest iteration is a 3mm 6 wrap ss316l spaced coil and I have ended up with very minimal cotton with tapered ends. This is working in an almost acceptable way however, I am very rarely seeing air bubbles from the juice channels.
My question is, is it likely that my issues are caused by inadequate oring seals at the top of my tank?

Your problem is probably the tapered tails. Cut tails so they just touch the deck and give a very light comb. Wick channels should be full with a bit of wiggle room.
I have still been using the included NI80 coil- I just dry burn and rewick and so far so good. I wicked too heavy the last time, and no airbubbles and dry hits- so I took it apart again and thinned out the wicks and now see air bubbles and no dry hits- Too light on the wicks and I will get a slight occasional leak- but mine seems to come from the 510 pin,not the vent, I have turned the wattage up from 25w to 28w to see if that helps, maybe I am not vaporizing the liquid enough. It is still one of my favorite tanks, and I liked the included coil so much that I purchased more of them.
I don't doubt your logical advice which is obviously what works for you but I have tried this as well as every other eventuality that I can think of.
Could it be that poor oring seals at the top are effecting the vacuum and so preventing good wicking.
I am not experiencing any leaking. (70% vg)

I need to purchase more of the included coils as I didn't have an issue with them vaping at 35 watts however when I set it up, I didn't give the wicking a great deal of thought....just packed it in.
Now I can't get the wicking right whatever I do whatever wire or wicking techniques I employ, that's why I was wondering if thete could now be an issue with the tank seals.

I'd be more inclined to look at you build or coil placement. I've learned through trial and error that spaced coils are more effective if the spacing is minute. I would try raising the coil a bit first.
Forgot to mention that I'm using a ss fc 6 wrap coil. Barely spaced. Coil sits so top half is visible over clamp.
Wicks touching the base? Thinned out?

Problem solved.
I have just realised that I have mixed my tank glass up with the Serpent SMM when cleaning them both together some time ago.
There sizes are very close.
.....I was sort of right with my diagnosis and now, I won't have to go on the serpent SMM thread and discuss my issues [emoji15]

IDK for sure. The coil I made and installed in the Zeus is .33 ohms and I am liking it. I just want to test some a bit lower to compare. I will probably try to get down to .25 just to see the difference.
I can't find those little wire brushes on Gearbest and I need some more. I bought two domestically and put one of them someplace safe that is apparently safe from even me. LOL Do you have the link on Gearbest? Thanks.

These are what I bought- they are small, but seem sturdy. Sure can't beat the price!
Make sure you get the silver or gold ones- I think that they are the only 2 that are completely metal.
@SnapDragon NY just got a chance to use the wire brush you sent. They are great for cleaning up the coil, hardly had to dry burn. I don't like running my ss coils under water so the brush helps quite a bit. Hugs sent your way, thanks again.

They work good in combing out the wicks too!
Has anyone come across a suitable bubble tank already? I've experimented with some bigger builds, and vaping at 100w kills the juice nearly faster than I can refill.

Not for the Zeus yet - maybe never. IDK There is a bubble tank for the Blitzen.
