Hi, is anyone here like me, I compulsively set my mod to "nice" numbers, like 44.4 watts, or 40.4, or 33.3...I can't do 18.0, has to be 18.1! I would love to use 42.0 watts because it's a Hitchhikers's Guide reference, 42, but with the .0 it's also another reference that I can't stand. I heard a guy say he was running 27.3 watts and I cringed a little bit.

I dont use watts at all.

Take the ohms of your juice delivery device, add 2 to that number, and it gives you the voltage.

So 3ohms plus 2 equals 5 volts. Then adjust up or down in .1 volt increments.

Wattage isnt needed if you vape to taste and use the same juice delivery device all of the time.

    Absolutely!

As someone who has Used Numbers a lot in their Life, I Definitely set my watts to "Nice Numbers".

And BTW. You are Right. I cringed also when I saw 27.3 watts. Why wouldn't one use 27.2?

Which is Clearly a "Nicer" Number.

I'm glad I found at least one person!
If you want to be .... the right way, you'll use voltage mode. A tenth of a watt makes no difference in the voltage output of any mod that resolves to 0.1v. A mod that resolves to 0.01v might give you a measurable difference, but detectable? Highly doubt it.

I guess I'll just be wrong, then! If it makes no difference in output, then it may as well be a number that I like.

Is this specifically for small clearomizers and cartomizers/cartotanks? I can't figure 2.3 volts being enough for a 0.3 ohm dripper, or even 3.5 volts for my 1.5 coil tank...i run it around 5 volts

I vape by taste. Some juices taste better set higher while others vape best at lower watts. Right now I'm vaping one of my espresso recipes (caramel, vanilla, marshmallow) at 21.4. For me, that's the sweet spot for that juice. However, on another device I have Wakonda at 16.8 watts, the sweet spot. In another, peanut butter cream pie (my recipe) at 27.5. I like variety. I also have strawberry cream in my dripper set at 29.2.
