Just opened it up a few minutes ago. Took a sniff to see what all the talk was about. Smelled the odor. Also saw the black on it. I brought along some Kleenite with me so the ceramic is now soaking. Will take it out in an hour or less and have at it. I checked it after 5 min and the black was already gone. I would think this Kleenite will take care of it. Will adv later.

Hey you guys laugh at us old codgers but it works! On one of my cleaning runs first night I had it, I was nosing around in the mother-in-laws cleaning stuff for some baking soda and decided to give some of her dneture cleaning stuff a go.

Worked great on the ceramic as to whitening but the fizzies had a Listerine componenet and I had to scrub that off. SO I'm not sure all said which of the cleaning methods worked the best but I do know that it was cleaning and not using that got rid of the odd taste.

All I get now is clean, pure taste of the juice and clouds of vapor!

That is why I said it was brilliant. Granted I have never used denture cleaner but most claim they will get most if not all odors and stains out of dentures I can't see why it wouldn't work great on ceramic.

Update - Left it in the Kleenite for little over an hr. Ceramic was white as snow. I did not get any funky taste either. 1st coil 3 ohms on 6V. Another win win for Imeo - just outstanding. Have the mouthpiece open 4 half turns. By the way, I don't have dentures, just a fake tooth you guys. I use Kleenite Dental Cleanser on hot water. I did not remove the ceramic from the metal - just put the whole piece in there. Didn't have a screwdriver. I washed the other metal parts separately. On a side note to Major's post. Kleenite does not have a taste to it.

Kleenite is a multipurpose orthodontic cleaner that is best not only for cleaning retainers, but for mouthguards, nightguards, sportsguards and a variety of other dental appliances. Kleenite is a superior retainer cleaner that is safe for all types of orthodontic retainers including clear Esssix retainers and clear invisalign-type aligners. Do not risk brushing clear appliances with toothpastes which may make them opaque and dull. Kleenite maybe be used with or without a sonic cleaner

I finally got mine a day late. I made a 1.8 ohm coil and it was way too strong of a hit. I've been smoking COV lemonade on a 1.6 ohm LR joye 510 on a single 3.7 battery and figured I would try a low resistance homemade coil, holy hell I'm going to taste lemons in the back of my throat for a while, god it hits like a beast! I'm going to try 2.4 ohms now :)

no i didn'"t have a rethreader or whatever, then the package from ecigz co uk you couldn't tell wich wire was R or NR, then, .... me they are too small, all in all this ody fiasco (for me !) just made me want lit an analog and feel free.. so i guess it was not intended for me. Btw , i'm fearing a bit for the next gg products, is everything going to be "diy ?"

Well a rebuildable atty is by it's very nature a diy product, the 2 wires can be told apart if you look at them side by side the thinner wire is the R wire. All GG products are sold as Advanced User devices meaning they require a bit of reading and have a learning curve but those who bother are rewarded with the best mod out there, yes they require maintenance but they don't break down and even if you somehow manage to damage it you can rest in the knowledge that it's covered by a lifetime warranty. If you need help with something and can't find an answer in the wiki just asking on this forum will get you all the help you need, heck even if you decide something just isn't for you all GG products hold their value or increase in value if you're greedy ;) and sell nearly instantly in the classifieds.

yup imeo i'll stick with this :) didn't say ody was bad, i said it's bad for me :)
i'll stick with ufs v2 and avs + drilled carto's (best invention ever tho thx to emonty who showed me that)

I'll have a special topic for you soon imeo, and gg crew, my ggts.. let say i made some juice rot in it , and i have a VERY hard time cleaning it, the metal is all oxyded (i think).. whatever i try, it's worse, i'll show you pics of my GGTS.. it's quite ugly.
Lucky for me my Alu/brass old style ggts is still working well.

I'll prolly switch to a SS ggts but since you'll never make an avs again (if i understood correctly), my question was this, are the ody "diy" type of things your new focus ?
