Here are the two that I bought.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1690303 I don't have anything like this and don't have any idea what the problem could be. My Evods don't have the removable drip tip.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1442205 This doesn't have one of the gaskets on the base that mine does, but otherwise looks the same. Have you checked the gaskets to see if they are goobered up or missing? The gurgle could be that there's not enough wick material in there to fill that space allowing too much liquid in, or the gasket on the bottom of the coil if missing or messed up. If you don't have enough wick to fill the hole, you could 'fluff' the wick a bit moving it up some to fill the hole. Have you tried replacement coils?

The first one leaked up into the mouthpiece where the drip tip goes in but didn't leak much thru the bottom. The second one leaked into the atty connector pretty consistently and both gurgled.

I did change the coil in the one without the removable tip but it leaked too. I am not very patient and might just throw them out and stick with my aspires.

That's probably what I would do too. Too much frustration takes all the fun out of it.

Yeah, the aspire mini vivis work all the time with no hassle. Just pop in a new coil once in a while.

I was using the crystal vision clearos from nhaler before I tried the aspires. They work really well. I just like something that I don't have to fiddle with that works well.

I really like the kanger evod batteries, but the tanks never worked well for me. Dry, flooded, burnt tasting. I tried every ohm available, no joy. I'm sticking with T2s, mini vivis, and a dura tank. They just work.

We are finally going to get a day without rain and it's supposed to get around 80. Hopefully the yard dries out some so I can get in a mowing tonight before it's taller than the front door.
