Got it done, its cooling down. I've decided to replace the old florescent lights in it also, this will be easy. OTD, I call it a cellar but not exactly a room, just a big cabinet.
Here are some pics.

Old unit.

Nice work PT. Yes they are hauling off the old set. It's a whirlpool cabrio top load high efficiency set that was pretty expensive when we bought it. The should have called it high maintenance instead of efficiency . Even with the extended warranty it was a nightmare. Now the drum bearing is going out and it's part of the drum. The repair guy quoted us about 500 to fix it. Not worth it. It'd just be something else breaking after that. It's been one thing after another. There was a class action suit against whirlpool on these after we bought it. They replaced some stuff for free as part of that.

Congrats , the new ones are nice, 4 years back got the (dont say whirlpool around here) duets .They have been maintance free for that time except when i wanted to clean out the line and figured my gas hussy blower from the inside was a good idea.Needless to say I dislodged a when dry sensor and had to put it back on,over all real happy and love the cost savings. The washers ring out stuff so dry that if you go over 1400 /14000? speed, some of the dryers require water lines so your cloths are not wrinkled, no lie.

That was another complaint on the cabrio. It wrung out the clothes and twisted them in knots so a lot of stuff came out wrinkled. The no agitator didn't seem like it cleaned as well either. We bought a GE set with an agitator. We figured out over time that we really didn't need the 4.5 cubic foot capacity of the whirlpool.

Looked into the front loaders mebbe 4 years or so back. Our 25 year old GE finally bit it to the point it wasn't worth fixin'.

Studied the front loaders and in theory they sounded good but there seemed to be enough qualifiers, speschul detergent, level and solid floor and so on that we went with another plain jane GE top loader. Prolly won't get 25 years like the last one but it does the intended job well.

Hitt, I was so bad in my choice of a dishwasher that the one model up had a light cycle 50 minutes less than the one I bought, and to boot its rusting now 4.2 years later. The one up model cost 5 bucks more but did not do my research, my bad.

Our original dishwasher that the builder put in was a cheapy but lasted quite a while. We bought the whirlpool model we have now at the same time we bought the washer and dryer. It's been pretty good so far. It's stainless inside and has the second sprayer for the top rack. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little quieter.

I love mine, was worried of scrathing it for about a week, what a crazy thought. Now that I think of it its time for new lines,Four years on washer lines is enough for me, too many people having flooding issues even with good lines, ty.
