Oregon instituted a law that sez pedestrians must be out of the crosswalk completely at 2 lane intersections, 3/4 of the way or more for 4 lane intersections before a vehicle can pass over the crosswalk.
Time to go get me winter tires on the truck (-:

Hitt, this is the Midwest, cars are still not used to pedestrians and cyclists. They recently expanded the road to 4 lanes that I need to get across to the park, they put in a light and a pedestrian walk. We still need to make sure a car does not go blasting through as we walk across.

I hope it didn't sound like I was making excuses. I am definitely to blame. What I can't figure out is why I drove off when the guy was standing to the left of my car yelling profanities at me. I should have waited for him to cross but went anyway. I keep running thru it in my head but can't make sense of my reaction. I've never done anything like that before.
Hitt, its all good man. Hell, I have had to slam on my brakes a few times not seeing the joggers. We have a lot of walking trails through my neighborhood that intersects with busy streets, cars are supposed to yield.
We are headed out to go see some Alpaca's at a livestock show. Tonight we are going to a new restaurant in OKC and staying at a hotel. Had to burn a free night certificate about to expire.

Got back from the Lazy-E arena about 10 miles north of my home to go to the Alpaca show. Cute, adorable and they let us pet them.
Headed out about 4:00pm to the hotel this afternoon. Try to check in after dinner.

I took my youngest to her violin lesson and when we got out of the car I saw that there was dry coffee stains all over the back of my white car. Evidently the guy from yesterday threw coffee on my car as I drove away. That kinda makes me mad. I'm beginning to think he had other issues besides what happened in the crosswalk. I mean, who does that? He's lucky he didn't run into someone that was crazy and carrying a gun.
I think so too now. I'm feeling a little less guilty after finding that and cleaning it off my car. My first reaction was to roll my window down and apologize but I'm kinda glad now that I didn't. Who knows what he would have done.
