A ten degree increase is definitely good. My wife called me back earlier and has decided after taking the cat to get fixed that tomorrow she's gonna take it to the no kill shelter instead of releasing it.
Ok, new plan when I got home. The vet said the cat is so feral that it wouldn't get adopted so we're gonna go ahead and release it and keep feeding it for at least a while.
Best thing for it hitt. Having been feral for so long it wouldn't really be happy in any other circumstance.

Sorry to hear that the kitty isn't adoptable, Hitt. Feeding it after release is a good thing, it'll help protect the local birds

We are still undecided on whether we want to keep feeding the stray long term or not. I told my wife that I don't care as long as we don't have to deal with the kitten thing any more. We kept her in the cage in the garage overnight and gave her milk a couple times. She would make the occasional meow but over all was pretty calm. She's a cute little thing. I wouldn't mind taking her in if she wasn't wild but I'm sure it wouldn't go well with our indoor cat. The dog wouldn't mind at all. They get along ok already outside.
