It's kinda hard to stop feeding strays.
I still have the one stray and the neighbor's cats, all of whom also get food from my neighbor. I've been trying to stop feeding them, and thought that the lack of begging when i got back in town suggested that it might be working. Nope. They've been feeding themselves from the ostensibly closed container on the front porch (and driving my red dog crazy).
Over time you might gain the kitty's trust, especially if your dog vouches for you

I tried to give em' hugs but after the brushing and combing none of the buns were havin' it!

Evening folks. The play my oldest is in started tonight so my wife went to that and I took the youngest to orchestra rehearsal. Next few days are busy with play performances, orchestra concert, and my BiL's bday.
Yeah. Starting next year the oldest will be off to college so it should be a little calmer.
