I saw this on the 10P News and thought some of you may be interested as you are all such caring people.
You can donate $10 to the Red Cross International Relief Fund by texting Haiti to 90999. The $10 will be added to your cell phone bill.
After the initial text you will receive other text messages some that you have to reply to:
1) To verify your donation
2) To say your donation was accepted
3) To ask you if you would like updates from Red Cross
4) To tell you will receive no more updates (if you choose that option).
I found this a very hassle free way to donate.
