Hey guys!

Dang I missed the coding conference this morning. I'm in product mgmt, but my boss, who is also the IT dir., is pushing me to learn more VB. I don't have a professional background in computers, just a light hobby. My boss saw how I was connecting queries in Access via ODBC to tables in our AS400, and started showing me how to augment in VB. I've never learned any coding, save the odd html tag, so this is pretty new to new. It's a little overwhelming but also pretty cool! I like this unexpected direction - I started 12 years ago in export sales, 4 years ago moved to buying, and now helping to create tools/apps to make all our jobs easier. Crazy.

Holy Moley I understood AS400 LOL I used to create picking systems and shortcuts with that hahaha Don't ask what I did it was 3rd shift and a your finished when everything is done kind of job. makes you a genius with anything Damn I miss my job

Never been a fan of vb syntax
Its a good language to learn off of. Very forgiving. Hope you are doing vb.net and not 6.

Wellll...it's the one installed with MS Office 2007, so I think it's VBA, but not sure of the v number?? I d/l Visual Studio a month or so ago, just gotta find done good tutorials!
