Holman you take nearly every opportunity to vent.

I tried to think of some clever come-back but drew a blank. Just can't think of anything funny to say about a company that ships boards with multiple know problems and then bills the customer for the cost of returning the item.

naa we are good (if that is what you are referring to)

And I thought Willie was referring to me. I have also been sensing a "disturbance in the force".

I had felt at one with the force and then a voice from the "Dark Side" crept back into my life to remind me of things I would rather put behind me. Where is Obi-Wan Kenobi when you need him.

I dunno about clever but 'I am like old faithful, dependable and people form cues to watch me vent'

Just to be clear who exactly charged you, I seem to think it was Vapor Flask, sorry I do not remember.

Yup it was Vapor Flask that made me pay the return shipping. I don't exactly blame Vapor Flask but I think that Evolv should be responsible for any money that Vapor Flask is out due to this ongoing problem but certainly not me.

I would have said something like "eat a candy bar and relax" which would be a kind of private joke between him and me but I'm out of the discussion here. Just watching. :)

I thought you said they have different TV commercials in Portugal? You are referring to the commercial that depicts a guy or a gal all bent out of shape about something and his buddy hands him a Snickers and the guy takes a bight and transforms back into his normal self.

No Gremlins here Just a person depicted with a bad case of "The Red Behind" that is cured by eating a Snickers.

Well that does indeed suck. Vaporshark and Evolv both covering shipping. I do blame Vapor Flask.
I have no idea what if any contract exists between Evolv and Vapor Flask.

Err... Never saw a commercial like that here [emoji14]

I was referring to the chocolate / candy bar mix-up where Woofer corrected my bad English (for which I thank him btw ).

For most of North America real chocolate and real coffee were unknown until recently, hence my concern. :)

During the discussions about Evolv's decision to rush this board to market, it has been said the reason was due to some sort of pending legislation or some such hoopla. MY thoughts are it's much less the fault of beta testing or any pending legislation but rather it's nothing more than a poorly disguised excuse for Evolv's paranoia-driven haste to get to market first, and damn the consequences of boards being defective- a "we'll cross that bridge when we get to it" sort of mentality.

I'm not the only one who's basing their decision whether to do business with Evolv on how this play out. If Evolv wants to considered a major player, they needs to make every effort to make the buyers of their defective boards whole. Regardless if the board was bought separately or preinstalled in a mod. And this should be paid for from the bonuses/salary of the one in charge of making this poor decision in the first place.

So I thought I'd start doing Ni200 coils again. I choose my "opened up" TGT II clone this time. I built a 12.5 wrap on 2.5 mm id with 28 gauge nickel, it read 0.25 ohms on the mod so I knew there was a problem. I figured there was some high resistance with in the base of the atty but of all the things it was dirty 510 threads on the atty. Now reads 0.17 ohms and working great.

Firing without drawing on it.
Edit: I forgot to add that while it had a bad connection at the 510 it would go in and out of TP mode and fire a bit hotter than it should have.......of coarse.

I'm going to correct some of this: My bad connection ended up being the 510 screw where it screws into the disc inside the base not the 510 threads although that may have been a small part of the problem. I have been using this TGT II clone with nickel almost exclusively for three days. Periodically I get towards burnt tasting hits. When this happens the 27 set wattage goes up to 40 when fired, I then clean the 510 screws threads and it then fires just to 27 watts and tastes right.
For the most part it works very well. My standing ohms would be inconsistent as well. Hope this info has use to some.

Here's the other end

Note that the air intake is a slot.

My only true gripe was that the official support is in the USA.
For most Europeans it's a headache dealing with customs especially in cases that involve warranty returns. The whole process is lengthy and cumbersome.

When I ordered my first board, I contacted three UK stores and asked what would happen if I have a problem. All three said the board would have to be sent to Evolv. Not a bright scenario.

Luckily, when my board glitched, I spoke with the store where I bought the board from and the vendor accepted a direct return and exchange and would deal with Evolv later.

If it weren't for the vendor stepping in, I wouldn't have the board yet and my customs would have a full day taxing me (although wrongfully).

TC has revived my love for the Veritas. Did a 12 wrap of 28g ni200 @ 0.15 ohm, wicked it with rayon and loving the performance at 520F. Sometimes though I feel like the vape is a tad too cool. How high in temp can i go before the rayon starts to singe?
Are you hitting the TC at 520 F? I've used rayon since day one- but I haven't yet had the pleasure of using a mod with TC. That said (and forgive me if you're already a pro rayon user) I can tell you that unless you outrun the ability of the rayon to wick juice to the coil, it will not singe or burn. Put another way, as long as the wick is wet it won't singe. So singeing a rayon wick has more to do with the entire set-up including but not limited to the type of coil being used, the airflow through the atty, how it's wicked and even the juice itself than it does with the wick being made of rayon, if you follow.

FWIW there's an active thread on rayon wicking: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vor-saturation-nic-hit-1129.html#post15419366. There (if you have any doubts or questions about what you're currently doing or just want to compare notes or hone your skills) you can find info on things like how to best fashion the tails, the "right" amount to use in the coils, etc.

Anyway, good luck!

That would be like having to return your iphone to Samsung due to a display issue, unheard of no? If your Iphone is broke, you return it where you bought it, you don't deal with the OEM component makers. Vapor Flask sold you the mod and should stand behind it, period
