I've been using batteries for close to 2 years now and have been fortunate to never really witness degrading performance or poor IQ's. Not saying my batteries are super/better batteries, as I think I've given some away and transitioned from 18350 to 18490's more lately. Plus I have probably 10 18350's and currently 8 18490's in rotation.

My point in this post is to actually wonder/ask what to look for when one starts going bad? Just reduced performance? Has anyone witnessed a known "old" or aging battery in the P3 that truly won't show above 50? If so - cool and good to know!

I'm assuming these batteries should be as good as cell phone batteries that we use for years. Heck I'll bet some of you have iphones with foxed batteries that are mostly still kicking along for years while being used daily and not in rotation with others - right?

On another note - I've had my VP4 since Saturday (thanks to Amazon) and it is excellent!

Your battery will not hold as much of a charge and instead of being able to, say, vape 4 mls on a single charge it will reduce to, say, 2 mls. And the decline will happen relatively quick. But yes, these batteries should last us a good long time. Years would not surprise me...even if you have only two and rotate them. These AW batteries can be recharged hundreds of times. I've seen some data that says 300 times, and others that say as many as 1,000 times. My original AWs go back 2-1/2 years and I have not noticed any falloff.

Didn't IQ also monitor the batteries internal resistance? The difference there might be the culprit, if that's the case.
Excellent point Neo and you are exactly right. I alluded to it when I referenced the "manufacturing process" at a given time but you are more precise. The internal resistance of a battery will directly influence the IQ. AW batteries are made at different times from different vendors, in different plants (AW relabels top brand names..they don't make their own). With all the differences in how, when, and where AW batteries are made we should expect variations...particularly as it relates to internal resistance. BTW, I am not putting down AW in any way. They relabel but they adhere to high quality standards from high quality manufacturers. At least this is how I always understood AW.

Charger question:

Do you keep your charger plugged in the wall when not using it?
Yes. I'm also NOT .... about removing them from the charger when the charge is completed. If I see it is complete, I remove it but I do not go out of my way or worry about it. A good charger will shut itself down once the charge is complete.

I charge batteries on the kitchen counter at night while I sleep. I'm not allowed to keep things on the kitchen counter when they're not being used. If I had a dedicated work area for vape-stuff, I probably wouldn't put the charger away. But we all have our OCD'isms and this is one of Charlie's. I don't remove batteries immediately on being charged either as that would require I get up in the middle of the night to do so. I'm major league OCD, but that would take it new heights for SR. Yes it would!

You both have OCD? When you have guests over are they a bit nervous as to not disturb anything? BTW doesn't your iPhone have a app which tells you the batteries are charged in the kitchen. I don't know how Charlie puts up with you.

I don't think there's an app for that. And I don't know how he puts up with me either! But somehow he's managed to for 35 years. Yes he has! Guests in the house? What are they? LOL

Get this. Yesterday AT was showing his Plasma Kayfun tank in a post. Both RB and I went to Trippy Tips and noticed it was out of stock and priced at $50.00. Today it's priced at $60.00 and still out of stock. Bert at Trippy told me to go to Boulder vapor as they had them. I did and they were priced at $65.00. Well I emailed Boulder and asked if they would price match Trippy. To make this short Boulder emails me a snapshot of the Trippy site where it's selling for $60.00. I have to wonder about them.

EDIT:

Trippy Tips has emailed Boulder and Boulder will sell me the Plasma Tank for the $50.00 sale price.

That's great Ping! I'm going to assume then you have placed your order??

Time for SR to get another P3 for that Russian.

Much as I wouldn't mind, I'm good with a P3 and a 2.5.
