Cheers RB...

Lets make the most of it!

Absolutely, and I plan to. We really don't have anything important scheduled for the day. We need kitty food. And there's a Starbucks next to the PetCo, so we'll go out, get some kitten supplies, then have a cup of coffee, while reading a magazine on my iPad and listening to music on the best Christmas Gift I've been given ever, my Parrot Zik 2.0 Bluetooth Headphones!

Do we know how to have fun, or what??

If anyone's in the market for some incredible (albeit expensive at $399) headphones, I can't recommend them enough. No I can't!

Sorry, R, but building the coil doesn't look too difficult, but wicking that thing would blow up my pea-sized brain. I can see myself flinging it off my 9th floor balcony in frustration. Yes I can!

My link was more about Q using a Provari (although only at the beginning of the video).
I'm considering this Calix By Leo tank to get me over the wait for the Ti GEM. The SS GEMs are out of stock all over the place. No wonder, it's great, using mine on a daily basis.

I rarely, if ever listen to music from my iPhone or iPad via an external speaker. But, I listen through headphones a lot. If you ever had the opportunity to listen to the Zik's, which are controlled via an app on your phone, you'd be blown away. They're so much better than the best Beat's has to offer. And Bose? Don't get me started on how bad they sound..........

Brookstone sells them, but you won't be able to hear their full potential via their display. It's the Parrot Zik 2.0 App that releases what they can really do, which is amazing. Truly amazing. And trust me. I'm a degreed classical musician, so I'd say my ear is pretty well trained.

Also, they are not sit on the ear, or in-ear headphones. They have full sized cups, that are over the ear. Which is so much more comfortable. They have customizable noise reduction, so you can control the amount of noise reduction, from total, to mid, to none.

Hummm. I like my Bose ... Haven't ever tried Ziks. I'm sure they're wonderful.

I thought Bose sounded just fine. UNTIL, I heard the Zik's. There's a reason they cost $399. I actually had a small issue with my Zik's ear cup on the left side and had to send them in to Parrot (they just sent out a brand new pair) and had to listen to my Bose for about 2 weeks. I couldn't believe how tinny they sounded in comparison.

Truly amazing. And trust me. I'm a degreed classical musician, so I'd say my ear is pretty well trained.

I'm a recording engineer. They're not the best "audiophile" headphones, but the vast majority of engineers, myself included, use the Sony MDR-7506 (professional) or MDR-V6 (studio) - both are the same headphone with different stickers. Cost is anywhere from $80-$100. They're also circumaural (over the ear, not on the ear). They're very efficient, so anything from a console to a phone can easily drive them. That's my first recommendation to anyone looking for sub-$100 headphones. On my rig at home, I use Beyerdynamics, which cost a few times more than the Sony's...

We're so lucky to have your eyes and ears to educate us lowly mortals.........I'm sorry John, but why do you feel it important to constantly remind us you're an engineer, who has super human sight and now evidently ears?

I am an audiophile. I have Focal Speakers from France along with some other higher end surrounds and subwoofers. I have a pretty trained ear, but to say the Zik's are not audiophile is an insult. Sound is subjective. What one person finds great sounding, someone else, not so much.
