The P4 will have an improved IQ, battery meter, No Ox on the threads, and a manual menu scroll for Busardo.

I don't actually see a need for a P4. With the P3 being software updatable, ProVape could add major features such as temperature control (which everyone will be releasing over the next year). Software updates open a world of possibility, not the least of which being a much wider profit margin for paid updates without the need to build new hardware.

My only request, as usual, is a P3.1 tube that's 18650 only, allowing a higher amp and wattage rating. You know, for us "professional vapers" :p Seriously though, 45W on an RDA is pretty awesome, but so is 15W on a Nautilus mini, just in a different way. Still loving my P2.5 with Nautilus mini, and P3 with Kayfun Lite Plus, but wishing to drip on a P3.1

If you decide you don't like the VapeSox, for some unconscious last minute reason, there is also the G-Case...it is one slick holster...similar concept, different execution.
G-CASE | Cases For Your Mods
The list of vendors includes many that have an online site from which to purchase one.

Those I actually like, the only problem is I can't find the length of it anywhere online. I looked at pretty much every one of their authorized sellers descriptions, as well as a couple YouTube videos, but nobody mentioned the length  The best I could do is estimate it from one of the YouTube videos and the type of mod he used. From what I could tell they seem to be anywhere from 6-7.5" in length. If they are under 6.5" I will probably go with one of them, since I like how the carabiner is attached to the back of the pouch instead of the inside (like the VapeSox are).

Anyways, it's already past 3am here, and I've been staring at my computer screen for way too long

so I'm going to bed  If anyone knows the length of the G-Cases let me know, otherwise I will just e-mail one of the shops that sell them tomorrow...

Still no shipping confirmation for me :(

Of course it's given me the time to order everything that I would like to be here when the P3 arrives, so now I am waiting on the following items:

1. ProVari P3 (Satin Silver) :D
2. EHPro Kayfun Lite Plus (it's the v1 I think, but I got it for $23 shipped from RTDVapor)
3. (3) AW IMR 18490's (the new 1200mAh)
4. (1) AW IMR 18350 (the new 800mAh, for when I want a smaller set-up)
5. Car Adapter for my Nitecore D2 & D4 chargers
6. 5-Pack of 30ml Blunt Needle Dropper Bottles
7. 50' of 28 gauge Kanthal and a 3' each of 2mm & 2.5mm Silica Wick

All of the above was less than $320 total, and the P3 was $247 of that :D

I am also considering ordering one of these - VapeSox VS5 - Saddle Brown Tortoise - to protect my P3 :) I haven't made up my mind yet, but I figure if I am going to own a $250 device I should have something nice to carry it in

If anybody has any other suggestions I would love to hear them (something <$20 preferably)?

ETA - Oh and I just updated my signature with how much I have spent on vape gear so far, and surprisingly it came to $1234.56

Try some Ko Gen Doh for your wick. Some use Rayon but I'm unsure of it but Ko Gen Doh would be a step up over silica.

Here's where i got mine. Comes from Japan, takes a week and a half. Got some Japanese tea thrown in too. :)

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting, and MAY have missed someone else saying this, but I'm going to anyway.

I've been using Noalox for three years now, on a total of five different Provi's. I've had a total of, let me think, ZERO issues with it, and my threads all operate much better with it, than right after I clean them down (aka "without it").

I clean them off completely maybe once every 9-12 months, when it looks like it MIGHT be beginning to cake up. VERY easy to remove down to nothing, and then I start again.

I, for one, plan on continuing this practice. Once I get through my current bottle, which should be in about 20 years, I'll decide if I want to switch to Da New Grease (or WHATEVER is being recommended when THAT day comes).

But for now, just TRY taking my Noalox from me. I might be in CT, but I assure you that the Noalox might not be the only thing you'll have to pry from my cold, dead fingers. And yes, EVERYTHING is "registered".

Carry on.

I was using Noalox, but then Provape came out and said they no longer recommend it, instead recommending No-Ox, so I switched.

After all we do as Provape tells us, right?!

The debate is over metals in electrically conductive coating.

Here's the MSDS for IDEAL Industries' Noalox. It's 20% zinc dust. by weight.

Here's the MSDS for Gardner-Bender's Ox-Gard, a similar product, also with graphite.

I can't find a descriptive MSDS for OX-ID A Special, but here's what SanChem says about metal in coatings:

Falicy of adding metals to increase Conductivity:
Many contact greases have copper, zinc or other metals blended into a grease to increase conductivity. In a study for an aerospace company in 1985 it was concluded that putting metal into grease does not help conductivity. In many cases it reduces conductivity. The United States Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation states in their Facilities instruction Journal Volume 3-3 Electrical Connections for Power Circuits in section 6.3.2 that, "Use of grease with embedded zinc particles will cause a poorer connection due to the lower conductivity of zinc".

Aluminum Oxide is one of the hardest substances known to man, just softer than diamonds. Zinc is not able to cut or dissolve aluminum oxide either. The aluminum oxide that typically forms on an aluminum connection is only 50-120 angstroms thick. Sanchem's NO-OX-ID penetrates the oxide film by the chemical action of our corrosion inhibitor system.

We're not dealing with aluminum oxide in the ProVari because it's stainless steel. Not being a materials engineer or metalurgist, I don't know what the issue with oxidation is with it, but I prefer not to use anything at all on my threads.

From the manual - "If you use the device under 15 watts you do not need to be concerned with the IQ value."

I got my P3 today and so far I think it's worth the higher cost :thumb:

I agree. I think of what the P2 costs and add $20 for the extension cap and another $20 for a beauty ring (neither of which is required for the P3) and it's up to $200+ right there. So for another 50 bucks we get all the upgrades. It's fair.
