Grin. Done that. The nearest one is 40mins away, and they didn't wanna take preorders. So... I'm thinking I might just wait by the door for them to open on launch day.

ETA: thinking about the reddit poster. I wonder if he's ever owned a provari. I hated the single button interface at first, but now I can just fly through the menu system like boom. And when I first found out about the p3 video, the first thing I thought was "pls stick to the single button..."

I mean, you still have to wait for them to be mailed to you from ProVape. so why not contact a dealer that has no intentions of skyrocketing the price. and prepay, and possibly have them redirect the P3 straight to you? I have been talking to my local shop people about this. and they seem more than willing to help anyone who wants a P3. just saying. there are always loop holes and ways around the madness

Ah see I did. Called up both shops. Offered to drop 250 via paypal or CC. Both said they aren't doing presale, and won't do it anyway because they didn't know the pricing yet. Offered to pay 250 anyway, and if it's too much I'll use the store credit to buy smth else and if it's too little I'll top it up. They still turned me down. So I'm gonna have to use my apple fanboyism again.

I called my local (always claimed to be, including today) authorized dealer, where I originally purchased my ProVari 2.5, to ask if they had the P3 beta. They weren't even aware it had been announced! I told them to contact ProVape and ask for one of the betas. We'll see what becomes of that...

EDIT - Oh no, just visited the ProVape site and first thing I see is the GloVari. Please add that to the "color" list for the P3... :D

Worse, my local "authorized dealer" isn't listed on the map - humm... did their authorization expire? Were they ever "authorized"? Humm...

^^^THAT...

I certainly hope my local gets one, or several!!!!
The shop I go to, is one of seven locations, spread throughout my county...
I normally hate chains, but these guys have grown fairly slowly, and have taken the time to make sure they are in the right area, and have the right staff.

Now, my only fear is, the owners will be dumb, and ask for one P3...or one for each of themselves...and hog them.
Or worse yet...one for all seven locations to SHARE!!!!

Got my hands on one of these today and Er Mah Gerd. I have to have one!! This thing is absolutely the ONLY device a vaper could ever need. It is incredible! My local B&M got a beta and I got jumped at the door with, "Go see Johan NOW! He's got a Provari 3!!!" I love love love the different lights for the button. The menu is better than the one on my freaking microwave!!! It can be slowed down or speeded up, which is awesomesauce. Once you get to know the device you can fly through the menu I am quite sure. He had a Kayfun on it and I am telling you it about blew me off my feet. Yup. Gotsta get me one fer shur. Good thing my husband was not with me. For some reason he thinks I am obsessed with vaping...:blink::vapor:

Dripping under 20 watts ??

Why not, I have been doing it for 5 years now..... I generally vape around 13 watts .... I get plenty of vapor with enough nicotine (using 24mg) to satisfy my nic craving.. Most cloud chasers are using 6mg since they produce so much vapor.. IMO all they are doing is inhaling excessive PG/VG. Their batteries get hot and have shorter run times.. --what is the point? Cloud chasing is like smoking 10 cigarettes at once :vapor: All these super cloud chasers--I just don't get it?

I actually disagree to some extent, for one particular reason. The most popular and convenient way to oxidize the coil on an RBA is to pulse a device attached to the RBA. This is also possibly the most dangerous point as far as getting a short and venting a battery, due to the fact that you're physically manipulating the resistance wire and you can screw up with your tweezers/pliers at any point and create a dead short.

On a single-button interface, pulsing leads to entering the menu and getting more and more annoyed each and every time it happens. I love my provari, but I pulse on a mech, because the annoyance outweighs the risk (granted, with a high-quality high-discharge battery in the mechanical mod, after having already tested the coil on an omnitester or my provari).

^ except........

It takes 5 clicks to end up in the menu on a provari. (Single button design)

The same 5 clicks locks a DNA30 (3 button design)

So it seems to me the number of buttons isn't the issue here.

In any case, I do sometimes have the same problem, although it's rare since I use 1 to 2 second pulses to fix my microcoils and that doesn't trigger the menu. And like you, back when I had a mech I would much prefer using it for building. My point is more that the issue you described (and we both experience) is not a function of the single button design, since you'll run into the same problem with just about every regulated device on the market right now, regardless of the number of buttons.

It repeatedly occurs to me that I'm ever so thankful to be in a group who are satisfied with a very low power vape. I can basically pick and choose what I want to get based strictly on the aesthetics and features I want.

My power pinnacle was covered by the Provari V2, DNA12, etc. And I'm SO fortunate for that.

No excuse me while I go attempt to break a Provari. I'm hoping to need a new one by the time the P3 comes out. 20 watts, huh? Can I sell the extra ones that won't need? Now THERE'S a thought.

Well, good luck breaking it. You can drop it in a bucket of water, run over it with your car, drop it on concrete and they seem to keep going, darn it! LOL

Go ahead. Kill my dreams. That's quite alright...(sigh).

;)

I recommend Briggs & Straton. It's the only tested & true method I'm aware of so far.
