I went to try the P3 today. It was hard to give it back. If you change your wattage or voltage often you will likely think it’s fiddlely. I rarely change settings so it’s good for me.

I took with me a Kayfun with a 1ohm coil. And a nautilus and a ProTank2, each with a 1.8 ohm head. Had I not missed that part about an adjustable center pin I would have also taken my Magma. However, the owner of the store says the long 510 is no longer an issue.

I like the way it looks. It reminds me of the simple design of the v2 satin silver. The Made in US and ProVape engraving on the top cap is small and unobtrusive. I like that the extra sections are included to get all 3 sizes.

I figured out the menu after a minute or two of playing with it. The choice of button color is fun, and does not apply to the screen color. To change volts or wattage is a similar button press as before. It’s in -0.1 increments.

The boost feature was nice with the Kayfun. It fires high for a bit to heat the coil, then goes to what you set. With the 2.5 I have noticed the battery shows voltage drop immediately after it’s changed, and sometime lower ohmed coils are a bit wonky. Not so with the P3. I fired the 1ohm coil at 15w with no errors. And I like that the battery remaining shows on the screen.
The Nautilus did well too. And the ProTank2 was fine, too, but looks weird with the new endcap.

The only thing I did not play with is the Profiles. I would probably set 1 for each topper I typically use on it. My coils remain similar each time I build one or change a head. That would take care of some of the fiddling needed to choose one’s voltage or wattage.

Overall, I really like it and will be buying one.

Thanks. I'm glad I at least got to use it. Or maybe I shouldn't be glad as now I want it more! They say patience is a virtue, but I think one has to be born with patience gene and I can honestly say I must have been in a different line when the patience gene was given out. I totally didn't get one! LOL

My "patience gene" is money. No choice. I'm going to have to wait until they start appearing on the classies with a discount. That might be in a couple of YEARS. Talk about patience! Ugh. It's highly over-rated IMO.

I'm sorry.......I promise NOT to gush too enthusiastically when I get a P3. Honest. Couldn't you maybe ask Santa to put one in your stocking?

Why is there always some sort of fanaticism and ultranationalism whenever the name Provari is mentioned? It's just a product like a fridge, a watch, or a pen. People are entitled to like or dislike any product without making a big fuss about it or being so ...... off with people because they have different views or preferences. One never hears of "loyalists" or "haters" when discussing cherokee cars or whirlpool washing machines.

I like what we're hearing about the P3 so far...

And I, like many, will have to wait until they are for sale on the ProVape web site.

Not because I wouldn't be willing to drive 100 miles (maybe more?) to get one...

But because I live in Hawaii. The closest ProVape Reseller to me is in California...

While I may be willing to drive, that's a LONG swim! And probably not worth the airplane ticket to get one earlier than the web sales start.

So uhh... ProVape :) How about throwing us Hawaii residents a bone and let us order one direct from you a bit early huh? How 'bout it? :D

There's really no reason why you can't call one of those dealers in California, give them your credit card and have them ship one to you, is there? Most vape shops ship things all over the world these days.

I've never seen this with anything else vaping-related, and fwiw there's plenty of fandom when it comes to mechs/atomizers/juice.

I'm sure the fans will reply "you just don't understand" and/or "because it's such an AWESOME!!! device."

You know I was all set to buy one.
I have since changed my mind.

I have 2 reasons.
First reason I love my Dragon. I couldn't use it if I had a new one.

Money isn't my problem.
Yes I could afford it, I own 3.

I have a problem with the way things are being handled.
What I mean is the dealers are controlling who will get one.

Put your name on a list to buy one. Nope not gonna happen.
Provape is even giving its control over to the dealers.
I don't think it is very fair to do this.

IMO Provape I don't think this is the way to handle things.
Might be a better idea to offer it on your website and at the dealers.

I am going to a Vape meet tomorrow night. I am pretty sure this topic will come up.
No one likes to be left out. I think it is a terrible way to do business.

Sorry if you might not agree.

You do realize that this is a beta version, right? I'm a mod manufacture myself and when I make a beta version, I have a select individuals test my mod out before a release a final version of the mod. This leaves room for tweaking the mod before a final version is released. It's no different with what Provape is doing, their just doing it on a larger scale.

I can ask the reverse of this why is it there is always an anti fan or troll that sees the name provari and has to come in and either insult the device or "drop their knowledge off" that their DNA 30 mod is so much better and the provari is outdated.

As far as ultra nationalism I'd wager to guess a high number of users on this board are USA born. Pardon us if we take pride that the provari is made in our back yard(where unlike China and other places) there are standards of safety being met without regulations being set in place.
