You can't see it, though you can feel it, barely...

Speak for yourself :p I could see it clearly. I guess even at my age, my eyesight is still pretty good.

Better yet, I took a photo... hang on... (time passes...)

It must vary between individual devices...
I mean, obviously it's visible, but it's not raised up like they designed it that way.

Yes, but why in this case?

It takes care of this particular problem.

They aren't using standard threading, so they could go down that road, and then the top cap doesn't unscrew with the atty.

I'm just curious as to why they did it the way they did.

I don't know...and it makes me wonder.
But I'd be willing to bet there's a reason. It seems like everything has been more than thought out on the P3...
I'd be willing to bet they made more than a few pre-P3 test run versions...

If the intent was for there to be atomizers that screw into the P3 threading, wouldn't that be awkward to have to put your atomizer down on the device in reverse?

And it's not like they didn't make the slot the width of a penny... I mean, they built the thing with the intent of you being able to use the cheapest tool on the planet to put a bit of torque on it, and it becomes a non issue... Is there a cheaper tool out there than a penny?

A Canadian penny. Ha!!

I think they did the right thing making them all conventional threading. Otherwise when trying to tighten down your topper it may unthread the top cap if it were reverse thread. But as posted many times, obviously provape has a simple solution to include slots to use a coin to snug it down.

My worry is the Canadian pricing. Our provaris are $50 more than the US. Assuming a $250 US price, that's $300 to buy in Canada plus tax and possibly shipping. That will put the p3 in a price point I'm not willing to pay. But as stated (by myself to others as well), the p3 may not be the device for me if that's the case. Even though I want one. Can't remember what it cost to ship my p2.5 from provape but in the end I think it was close to Canadian pricing.

I haven't seen anyone post anything about a release date...so I'm guessing it's conjecture.

He stated it as though it was fact. I can't imagine they released all those betas in the wild if they weren't close to opening up sales. There don't seem to be any notable problems with the P3 and while some are still pining for 30 watts that doesn't appear to be in the cards this time around. And what are the "other concerns" he's referring to? So I can't imagine why he states it's a long way off.

I just can't figure out how his statement relates to the words of mine that he quoted...

All I said was, I'd be willing to bet that Provape made more than a few pre-P3 test models...as in, betas of the betas of the betas...

Let's just hope it's just the guys opinion and not fact.

Do you have this from Provape or is this your opinion?

For a little update, the beta period is just ending this week. We needed time to allow for the beta units to arrive to their destination, some required up to two weeks in shipping for international shipments and time at customs. Then there is a period of time to allow dealers to try them and provide us with feedback. After this week and once the feedback is in, we can evaluate and see if there is anything we need to change or update.

Depending on what changes, if any, we need some time to complete those, then build-up inventory for the initial release. It all takes time.

I know you all are in a rush to get your hands on the new device and we are excited too, but we want to make sure we have things on our end ready. We will keep you updated as I get more information. :)

As for the reverse threading, the solution is to tighten the 510 connection with a penny. As mentioned, it's the cheapest tool available and it works great. It's really not a issue. Should the 510 come out, we did put penny slots on the bottom too, to assist with removing it. If you are looking for a more expensive solution, you could always use a dime or a quarter

Just a tip for anyone ordering the V3.. Order the V2.5 extension cap and use it for 18500 & 18650 mode.

It takes 5mm off the length, get rid of a ring and is much nicer to use in the hand..also it looks better.

My satin silver colour matches the beta colour pretty good, but the finish on the V2.5 is slightly better ?!.. It's glossy .. Smoother to the touch.

Thanx for this tip buddy :)

I mentioned that a couple pages back, but that's cool... he had a photo so I got one-upped. :)

"Also, the shop had a satin silver v2.5 extension cap, which had a noticeably different finish. Obviously both pieces were finished at very different times. Is using a v2.5 extension cap OK or not recommended? I noticed they're different heights when configured with all P3 parts vs v2.5 endcap."

Wonderful! It gets reconfirmed then :)
