A Canadian penny. Ha!!

I think they did the right thing making them all conventional threading. Otherwise when trying to tighten down your topper it may unthread the top cap if it were reverse thread. But as posted many times, obviously provape has a simple solution to include slots to use a coin to snug it down.

My worry is the Canadian pricing. Our provaris are $50 more than the US. Assuming a $250 US price, that's $300 to buy in Canada plus tax and possibly shipping. That will put the p3 in a price point I'm not willing to pay. But as stated (by myself to others as well), the p3 may not be the device for me if that's the case. Even though I want one. Can't remember what it cost to ship my p2.5 from provape but in the end I think it was close to Canadian pricing.

It was $251.40 for mine, after a $21.50 discount. Shipped from Provape to Canada.

Provape's International Shipping cost sucks :( As such I fetched my others via a friend in the US ~ shipping expense: just $8!

Well, I couldn't resist. I was offered a P3 beta, new in the box, for what I think will be considerably less than retail price (direct from the shop). They only used 1 of the 2 as a demo, and the other sat on a shelf. Yeah, I might not get warranty service (to be determined?), but the shop will; there might be changes, both physical and firmware. All we do know is the beta units will be collectors items, so for now, I'll use it. Might still get a black one later anyway.

I'll be bringing (and using) it at ECC, hopefully all 3 days. There'll probably be a few there, but I'll demo it to anyone who asks about it.

Vape360 - I know the beta period is ending, however are you still interested in beta comments, both about the device and the manual? If so, let me know how to submit comments. If not, I'll just enjoy using it 'till the retail version, and the changes, are announced. :)

We are along way off from the production model, to many concerns at this point..

Do you have this from Provape or is this your opinion?
I haven't seen anyone post anything about a release date...so I'm guessing it's conjecture.
He stated it as though it was fact. I can't imagine they released all those betas in the wild if they weren't close to opening up sales. There don't seem to be any notable problems with the P3 and while some are still pining for 30 watts that doesn't appear to be in the cards this time around. And what are the "other concerns" he's referring to? So I can't imagine why he states it's a long way off.
You know that River guy he just likes to stir things up...

After this week and once the feedback is in, we can evaluate and see if there is anything we need to change or update.

Depending on what changes, if any, we need some time to complete those, then build-up inventory for the initial release. It all takes time.

I know you all are in a rush to get your hands on the new device and we are excited too, but we want to make sure we have things on our end ready. We will keep you updated as I get more information. :)
Or maybe I am right ?? Provape has one chance to get it right- P3 its sink or swim time :glug:

Provape will sell enough of the P3 to current ProVari users but I just don't see them selling the P3 in large numbers to new vapers. It simply offers too little for the price.

I'm not sure why you doubt people who haven't experienced a Provari wouldn't want to buy one? Care to explain why you'd say that??

Anyone answer this question I keep getting an error message 31 Output voltage too high or Atty OHMS too high.

Am vaping at 3.7 v with 2.4 Ohms atty.. Would you expect that to give problems ?

Also had a problem with the display today, it stopped working all together. No matter how many times I pressed the button. Led still worked and my pressing changed the voltage.

Removing the battery fixed it up and so far it's not done it again.

According to the version of the manual I have, OUTPUT SETTING OR ATOMIZER OHMS TOO HIGH [31]. 3.7v @ 2.4 ohms is 5.7W. I believe the lower wattage limit is 3W, and the upper atty resistance is 3 ohms, so you should be good. Try cleaning the contacts and making sure the atty is screwed down tight. Either of those can cause extra resistance and would trigger that error.

Have you checked one of the great new features in the P3 - IQ? What's the IQ reading?

We were all "new vapers" at some point, yet thousands of us have seen the value for money so far. (and many of us multiple times) ;)

What exactly is the price of the P3 that you're referring to? I didn't know one had been confirmed yet.

Fault raised it head again, 2nd time today.

display stops working and doesn't fire. Led still lights up

removing the battery fixes the issues, I hoped when it happened first time it was a one off.

This happen with a different battery too..as the IQ on my first was poor 51, this one is great 83

Interesting. Pull your serial number of the P3 and then file a Beta report via the ProVape web site. Please give them a step by step with all the details of your bats and your delivery devices along with any other information. They might even want to call you so include your phone number in your ticket. I'm quite confident they will welcome your input.

I've never owned a ProVari before, but I am 100% sold on the P3. I have wanted a PV for a while but rumors of the 3 kept me from ordering one. With the added features I can honestly say I'm glad I waited. I just hope they offer a black one upon release, I'm not a huge fan of the silver.

Be prepared for ProVape to ask you to send it in. That's part of beta testing, regardless of how you obtained it. Hopefully they'd send a replacement beta back, but it's more important to them (and everyone else) to identify a potential issue and fix it before general release.

Odd you would say that, since I'm quite certain they sold more ProVari 2.5's today to new customers... And will sell more tomorrow to new customers... And they're paying upwards of $200 when you include some batteries, and a charger, etc...

Does the 2.5 offer too little for the price?

I am vaping one right now, and I know that I'm not alone when I say... NOPE!

Would I pay an extra $50 to get the added features of the P3 with the same build quality of a 2.5? You bet I would!

There is something to be said about a ProVari, and more importantly about ProVape and their entire staff... The specs aren't really the selling point... It's the machining, the engineering, the R&D, the quality assurance, the performance, the safety, the warranty, the phenomenal customer care, and a little pride on a product that was designed and built right here in the USA.

I don't think I'm going out on a limb here when I say that the V1/2/2.5 have likely been the best selling mod in their price range by a factor of 10 or more. And I suspect the P3 will carry on this legacy quite nicely.

Ok I can't take this any longer!
I wasn't gonna say anything, because I've just enjoyed seeing where the conversation has gone...
BUUUUUUUT...
I got to play with a P3 about two weeks ago, and a few extended periods of time since then...
And...
(SPOILER ALERT!)
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409909437.569091.jpg
It is an amazing device. Flat out. Plain and simple.
I don't want to ramble on about it, because I agree with all the positive things that have been said about it. I have questioned the same things that others have...but I trust in Provape enough, to know that there is a reason for the things they do.
And for all the negatives that have been brought up...well they've either been pilot error, lack of experience with the device, or things that were said by people who just need to use a different device, as the P3 obviously isn't for them! I can't think of anything else this device could do for me. And I was very glad there weren't any gimmicky programs written into the chip, like a puff counter or a clock, calendar, yadda yadda yadda, etc etc etc...
It just made me say wow.
So, ask away, if you wish!
