I must have missed the post. What is the price ProVape is quoting for the P3

$249.95 (translation - $250) That's in Satin Silver. Colors are $20 extra

Here's the post from Provape:

I noticed a couple of pages back that someone quoted the price they had heard from a dealer and I recall it was off by +$10. I wanted to clarify so you all have the correct pricing.

The P3 will retail at $249.95 for the silver and colors will be +$20.00

We also have something new to announce

* New Feature!

The P3 has the capability to have its internal firmware upgraded via an external programmer that we will be offering for sale to participating authorized resellers. This significant NEW capability will allow future planned updates and features to be added over the life of the P3. All P3 units have the capacity to be updated. Existing P3 beta units can also be updated.

We don't yet have a timeline for when the programmers will be going out to resellers, the cost of each update, or which resellers will opt to have the programmers. In the near future we will establish a list of places where you can either send your P3 in for updates, or walk-in for updates. Of course ProVape will also still do updates if you want to send it to us, but this new feature allows you to get updates without having to send the device to us. This will also benefit those in other countries where shipping the unit back to ProVape is more than $5.

Hi Jazz,

Here are some of the changes in the software section.

Ver 35 - Is the new Ver number.

1. We increased the amperage limit to 5.5 amps.

2. We added a function in the menu to when you are in the Aup or Adown, you can change power in both directions. For example if you go into Aup and you are adjusting your power up and you go past where you wanted, you release the button and wait a second. The system will toggle the arrow icon from Up to Down and then you click the button when it's pointing down, it will allow you to adjust down within the same screen. This saves you from having to go back out of the menu then to Adown to adjust.

3. We have added a back arrow icon in the second level menus so you can select to go back to the previous menu instead of going all the way out and then back into the menu.

4. In the recall info section, we slowed down the way the serial number scrolls. Some dealers that wanted to write down the number requested that it go slower because they could not write the numbers down before it would advance to the next set of serial numbers.

Thanks for the update Vape360. When I asked for an update bone I figured we'd get a couple of nasty fish bones at best, but we got some prime rib bones... with a little meat still on them!

Great changes, I think all the changes you mentioned will make this an even better mod and I look forward to updating in a few weeks. I especially like the ability to adjust up/down without having to re-enter the menu and being able use the back arrow.

Thanks for the update... and the bones

I've got a bit of a problem with the marketing team at Provape.

Provari Dragon... a Dealer Exclusive, No dealers in my area have one.

Provari P3... available thru dealers first. For how long? Will my dealers have one? Will they inflate the price? Will they support updates? Will they be free, or cost me more than postage back to Provape? If the Dealer "Bricks" my PV during an update, will they issue another until mine is fixed? And the list goes on...

I do not want to have to answer any of those questions. My answer does not favor a user of this type of device in my area.

Provape, You want my business? Sell me the thing, support the thing, and keep me away from the cloud chasing clone shops.

I guess I'm lucky. I've built a good relationship with a dealer in my area, who I trust and who is selling me my P3 for the same price everyone will pay online from Provape. Of course I will have to pay sales tax, but I don't really object to that. Taxes pay for schools, roads, police, fireman, etc., so I feel it's reasonable to support my community and state by buying locally when I can. It also supports a store I rely on, who has to pay rent, and electricity and salaries for people who buy groceries, pay rent/mortgage, etc., so we all win just a bit.

As to firmware updates, I haven't asked if they will offer the service locally, though I'm guessing they will. But even if they can't/won't, I'd have to send it to Provape if I bought it from their online store wouldn't I?

Yes, as, I built up a relationship with the closest shop that sells ProVari...but, even so, they are three hours away...I got my dragon from them...my "local" shop doesn't carry ProVari...and the college student at the register had never HEARD of ProVari! He wanted me to buy one of the ego clones they were selling! They don't even qualify as "vapor chasers"...

I am wondering if they are strengthening their dealer relationships in order to cover their butts in case of an eventual FDA crack down in terms of on-line sales of vaping devices, juice, accessories, ... All I know I always have to share my Provari whenever yet another one of my wife's devices fail and she has gone thru quit a few since I've gotten my Provari. Solid device!!!

A look on Provape's Store Locator shows there are are stores about 90 miles away, so yes I can see there's not one in your town. I'm surprised as one would imagine Jacksonville is large enough to have at least one, if not more.

Here are the stores closest to Jacksonville:

LJ's E-Smokes (Port Orange Retail Store) 92.7 miles
3999 S Nova Rd
Port Orange Florida 32127
USA
Phone: (386) 767-9902
Email: support@ljesmokes.com
Website: L Js E-Smokes, Electronic Cigarettes
Directions
Sunshine Vapes 94.6 miles
1784 S. Woodland Blvd
Deland Florida 32720
USA
Phone: 386-279-7598
Email: sales@sunshinevapes.com
Website: http://www.sunshineva…
Directions
LJ's E-Smokes (Edgewater Retail Store)

I would imagine one of them might be perfectly happy to sell you a P3 and ship it to you. Have you called any of them to inquire?

They added a P3 option to the "Products" drop down menu on the Provape website! It made my heart skip a beat when I saw it  as I could actually afford one right now. Of course it just takes you to a page similar to the v2.5 pages, with info on the P3, but without the products at the bottom of the page :(

I really hope I end up having the spare cash when it is finally released

Can't you do what I'm doing and buy from a dealer?

Not in the state of Ohio. None of them plan to stock or special order any P3s. So, while I am ready and willing to pay right now, I must wait til ProVape decides to sell them on their site. I know of no other place that I trust.

Do you trust anyone here? Cuz I'm sure, as has been suggested for a few other users, that there are some people here who would gladly help out with the shipping...
Order from the local shop near "ECF-user-X", and he/she will ship it for you...?

Favorite Vapors This shop in Cincinnati will. My P3 has shipped and is expected Monday or Tuesday. Not all that close to you but in Ohio. Perhaps he'd ship to you if you inquired. I've been comfortable with this shop (as in trust) since they opened this spring.
Just trying to help......I have no connection or interest in this particular shop.
