Maybe it doesn't make it functionally better but it's not trivial- how many people paid an extra $20 for Blue or Green or Purple? Some people will go nuts when they announce the limited edition Phoenix version and they will pay a premium for it [no there's no Phoenix version that I'm aware of]
People like to personalize things. It's a nice touch.

Yup I ordered color change on all but one of the four.

Hmmm...I wonder if you can?...like stealth mode. Of course that will not feed my basic color addiction but it would be helpful.

there are separate menus for the display and LED- you can even keep your colors on the LED and turn off the display or visce versa. Default, the display shows settings on the first two presses.

Another thing you can do... setup the device with the OLED ON and the LED light ON and save that into profile 1.

Then you can setup the device with the OLED OFF and the LED light OFF and save that into profile 2.

If you are going into a movie or someplace where you don't want it to light up you can simply recall profile 2 which has all of your lights off. It's a quick way to put it into stealth mode and when you want to turn it all back on, recall profile 1.

Question not sure if this was asked but, Will Provape be selling the P3 on the Provape website? :?:

They have to. There are 2 Provari dealers in my area and owned by the same person. They are clueless about the P3. When I asked about the $249 price all I was told is that they only sell Provari's as a kit not the unit itself. The bulk of their business is ego starter kits and ejuice. I'm not going to buy a P3 at this time, but if I do it will be through Provape.

And I'm flying with Ping here. I'll wait (if I even consider...).

Maybe Provari can sell some P3 blems soon on website for those who want to purchase from them only? They work awesome by the way very happy with them :)

Please indulge me with a little soap box moment:

I know a lot of folks are waiting for the website release, and many of us for years have come to trust, rely on and take advantage of the benefits of online shopping. Up until last week I had purchased all of my vaping gear online. That changed last week with the P3.

I have to say it was a great experience going out to a few of the shops in my area (ProVape resellers) and spending time talking to some of the folks that work and operate these stores. I'm not referring to the head-shops that happen to sell eGo clones in Times Square and juice at $1/ml, but dedicated vape shops - the ones in my area have internet juice businesses as well as established B&M stores where they sell a variety of supplies. Having the ability to talk to someone about how to set things up, what to watch out for and suggestions on what to try was invaluable- even after 4 years of vaping. Not a dig against ECF, but chatting up a storm here is not the same as having a face 2 face conversation with someone. The biggest shock for me was that the prices were fairly competitive with online prices - in the worst cases maybe 10% markup over internet prices.

In a previous post I mentioned something about helping the B&M stores be successful. If you look at what's going on with the FDA, in each state, and even today with the proposed flavor ban in NYC, we as a community need to do a better job debunking the FUD around vaping and the stigma that goes with it. Having these stores be successful in communities around the country creates opportunity to do that in so many ways. For those of you who have shops in your area and haven't been to them in a while (or at all), I strongly recommend you get away from the keyboard for a bit and check it out. Especially if you want to check out and order a P3....

If you don't have a quality shop in your area, and if you want a recommendation, two of the shops in my area, just north of NYC, Cherry Vape (CV Vape Store) and Honest Vapor would be happy to talk to you on the phone and will take an order for a P3 over the phone if they have any left. You can look them up and link to their sites from the ProVape store locator.

Thanks for that moment....

If I had a very good B&M in my area, I would sooooooo go to it all the time. I did get a chance to visit a very nice one in Delaware a month ago. I actually got to hold a P3 beta unit. That was a thrill for me. My first vape store AND a P3 in person...

With that said, I really need to have good reviews on places before walking into them. I research the heck out of things beforehand, which is how I already knew that the place in DE would have the P3 AND that they would be a reputable B&M.

Those are totally awesome tips though Jim! :)

I get the marketing part of the Dealer's Only sales. But the reality is I have many vape shops in my area, several have ProVari. But I had to buy the Dragon in Indianapolis (6 hours from me) over the phone. And the P3 I drove an hour and a half to try. I know the owner from vapemeets and she is ordering one for me. And is nice enough to bring it to me to a vapemeet or mail it to me if I cannot get back to her store.

However, I kinda feel like I shouldn't have to work this hard to get a ProVari. Maybe offer both options at the same time?

I hear what you're saying- but I think we need to give it some time. I know, easy for me to say holding one, but this is sort of a chicken and egg problem.

I buy most everything I buy online....not just e cigs. I have not in five years of vaping ever bought a single thing from a bm. I suppose if I had one near me, which I do not; I might be inclined to patronize them.

Bm as a concept is a good thing but in reality many of them turn out to be anything but....as evidenced by countless horror stories here. Things like building subohm coils on 10 amp batteries and handing them to uneducated users to rudeness to misinformation.

I would never paint the all of any experience with the same brush, including bms. However, they would be wise to post provaris for purchase on their own websites, which I have yet to find one that does.....and sell them at msrp.

My money....my rules...Lol to be blunt.

This is year 2014. I don't churn butter and no longer have a rotary phone...if you have a website, offer online ordering....look at ibtanked...a four person operation, small family...online purchase capable.

Many of them offer purchase online already but don't offer our mods for purchase online...shoddy.

My nearest dealer is more than one hundred miles away. I am waiting for the on-line release. Given my past experience with ProVape products and customer services, I don't have a need to try before I buy.
Most local shops here have simply sprung up overnight, have limited stock, limited knowledge and a less than friendly attitude to a gray haired guy even with all his teeth (if not all his marbles). And, I am unsure what some of these folks were selling before their vape shop opened.

I have to agree the shops Provapes recommends do not advertise or show a Provari on their sites. I even used the search feature all sites have and Provari not found. One of the posts about two stores outside NYC which was suggested as a place to buy the P3 doesn't list them either. I think Provape should have offered them online at the same time they were being shipped to dealers.
