Yea don't be like me! Be exciting with your PV! :p

I only vape unflavored, and I wrap the exact same coil time and again. When I get a P3, I will literally spend 5 minutes looking through the menu, set up my defaults, and then probably never look at the menu again. I did all my experimenting(and I mean A LOT), my first 3 years of vaping. Now it's all about the set it and forget it.

LOL...not much fun monkeying with your P3 is there?

Maybe you'll be one of those where changing your LED color would make you feel better.

Oh, I set the boost...actually I don't think that feature gets enough credit. Second day I set it to 3, 1.5 ohm build on a kayfun v2, works great. Im not into it as much, started Oct 1st and still finding my fav juices, so in time I'll fine tune and use the recalls.

Is that your normal build? What gauge did you use on your Kayfun?

I am using 28 guage, learned my entire build on the kayfun lite thread...started posting pics and several members jumped in to help. Embarrassingly, my first mistake was the coil was upside down....I'm sure all the vets were thinking "noob", but they helped and I'm thankful. I haven't even started fiddling with anything else other than using rayon as I'm not comfortable trusting other builds will get me through the day while at work. I quit smoking on oct 1st too, so I need to make sure I can get a vape and not a bad hit. I'm thinking of getting another P3/Kfl for tinkering purposes, need to know that I know what I like before trying other mods and attys. Eventually this will be more like a hobby, just not there yet.

Yeah, I remember you on the KFL thread. I hope you build your confidence because you should try using thicker wire...say 26 gauge with either/both a wider diameter and/or more wraps to achieve the same resistance you currently have with your 28 gauge. 26 gauge is not a very rewarding experience on the KFL because the wire takes too long to heat up (I get impatient even with 28 gauge). With boost, you can eliminate that problem. The key is to increase your coil area (which thicker wire allows). You can do that without the adverse affects by using boost.

Spot on, and an explanation I can't convey with words as you did.

First week I had a spinner/kanger, second I bought a zna 30 and built the Kfl on that thread, third week I said f this and bought a p3 beta after reading all the info from the provari enthusiasts. Best decision ever. I can grab my mod while driving and not take a primer puff to get what I would say is a good vape. P3 is a great mod for advanced users and new people (like myself) because the technology with boost, other features are great too. The mod itself allows me some growing room, once I figure out what I really like, but until then I am very satisfied as is.

Have fun and push your limits. Sounds like you are. :)

Yay my order has been shipped. Tracking says Monday...I'm now in sync with the Provape countdown timer :)

Must...resist...temptation...to keep it up on my screen for entire duration...

ETA: this will be my first mod and I can't wait. Also, I'm excited to try rebuilding and I have already accumulated a kit : Lemo, Fogger V5 ( not sure why I bought a second atty before I even built my first), 50ft 28g Kanthal, Japanese cotton, micro-jet torch, magnifying visor, etc., etc. Not to mention, I'm dying to try my beloved Nautilus BVCs on it.

Same here. It's hard to believe a company offering a premium product doesn't offer a premium shipping option.
The last time I ordered a 2.5 for my wife it took a couple of extra days to get it because there is no way to sign a release for the shipment until they leave the pink slip.

Sadly, for me it means a drive to the PO - some 17 miles away. Ah well, it is what it is...

Thanks for that, Peter! On (the few) days I'm due valuable vape mail, I take the day off and am sitting outside in a lawn chair... by the mailbox if USPS. It'll be just above freezing Saturday, but I'll be out there in my deer hunting garb with a thermos of coffee, LOL!

I'm up, and it's 24 degrees out. But I may well do the same thing. Since the PO closes early today, if I miss the lazy SOB, it'll mean Monday for me, and I don't want that.

Other than the fact that I've never heard of that battery, I guess not. I mean, not that I'm some kind of authority or anything...but it looks like everyone else is too distracted by posting their order numbers to answer you.

I'd be wary of it though...AW has only recently come out with newer batteries that have higher specs...and they aren't black.
Always be aware that re-wrapped/re-branded batteries are flooding the market...
I always buy from a trusted source, and I don't buy any variations of my normal batteries.

Wrong - all of AW's "protected" batteries are black in color. The 'red' ones are unprotected.

Hi everyone, I don't know if it's a known bug or if my unit is faulty but my P3 seems to only monitors battery life if the screen is set to show info when firing. When the screen is set to stay off and I go in the Aup or Adown menu to check battery life, it gives the last reading that was shown before turning the screen off. Don't know if I'm clear...
This morning I put a fresh battery before going out, the screen was set to off since last night. Hours later I go in the Aup menu to check battery life and see 99%. More hours later still 99%... So I turn the screen on, fire and see 73%, take a few puffs and see 47%, like it has just started monitoring and is adjusting. Then I set the screen off, and an hour later it still reads 47% through the menu. I turn the screen on again and see 39%...

Firmware is version 35, production model. Brand new AW IMR batteries.

Second issue: since I got my P3 yesterday I've been using the same 3ohm Boge cartomizer, between 8 and 9W. Activating boost mode (whatever the level) gives me an error 31 (OUTPUT SETTING OR ATOMIZER OHMS TOO HIGH). The P3 fires, but I've got that warning sign on my screen. I've tried lowering watts, even down to 4W, and it doesn't change anything: activating boost mode gives that error. I've tried voltage mode as well as a different battery, same thing. Ohm reading is 3.05 and IQ is 89.

Very concise info. Well done.

I have not seen the issues that you have mentioned.

Current software is at V36. I would fire off an email to Provape. And go from there.

Good Luck, Jim

Well, it's up to 25º and clear (from 16º) this morning. P3 is "Out for Delivery" as of about an hour ago. This is just such a day I'd get a missed delivery slip to save getting out of the truck.

edit: at least the wind is dead calm

My weekend mailman (actually a lady) is a lazy :censored: and wont deliver packages on Saturdays. They just leave a pink note to go pick it up. Honks me off to no end. Like you, my post office is right about 17 miles away. Maybe I'll get a different person today...one with a little more spunk.
