Don't be confused. It works either way. There is no right way or wrong way. I find it easier to have the legs come out the bottom (the wire lays flat when you go to wrap them around the terminals). I'd be guessing but I'd say 95% of the people have them coming out the bottom (based on the multitudes of photos I have seen across ECF). If JohnDO has a reason why he comes over the top then I believe him. Personally, shorting has never been a problem for me.

Heh. Well, I assume it's obvious that Honk Kong is half Chinese and half British, so the ladies voice on the subway speaks in English with a British accent. When the doors open on the train, they say "please mind the gap" instead of "watch your step", as there's a gap between the train and the platform. Likewise, watch out for anything that could short out the small gap between the posts on the Kayfun deck.
Speaking of wire, this morning I decided to make a few new coils waiting for ECF to return and sure enough the spool feel and about 40 feet of wire unraveled on the kitchen floor. It sure has a lot of spring in it.

OK, so I'm not going to worry much then as it works and works well.
I'm happy with the airiness of how it's working, so I'm prolly not gonna' remove the screw and take a chance of losing it or getting juice/condensation on the bottom of the RBA.

I don't get very much condensation. Wouldn't it stand to reason, I'd get more without the screw in there??
Try it and find out. It wont hurt anything. There are many people who yanked the screw out. I didn't because it doesn't whistle. It wont explode or anything.
I commented on it because someone (can't remember who now) said I'd need to replace the cotton every other day. When the taste changes, I'll replace the cotton, but not likely before.
You'll do some tweaking as you go along and get comfortable with it. I'm just glad you got it going. Someone mentioned earlier about the needle tips. That's what I use. RTD Vapors sells nice needle tip bottles for cheap (AW batteries too). The 18 gauge blunt needle tip works best in a Kayfun. 16 gauge is too wide, 20 gauge stresses out the Arthur Ritis.
I'm glad I got it going too! Sir Rod would have been mighty embarrassed to report he got a KFL+ but couldn't use it due to his pea-sized brain! I'm sure I'll get used to fiddling with it. And I must admit it's much easier than I imagined. Thanks for the vote of confidence Bronze!!
