Why, in God's name (no, it's not in vain, I'm actually thinking about Him) would you check your watch when you are adjusting your PV? o_O
My thought while reading that was maybe..... just maybe it was an instinctive reaction to look at the watch.
I know I lack the skills to look at my watch & make changes on my PV at the same time.

Before I was all about you expressing yourself; now it just seems you're throwing a temper tantrum for no good reason.

You misunderstood, I was trying to be cynical (apparently with no success). I'm not a ecig freedom fighter :)

You are free from a menu that controls the user. It's called buy something else..... Problem solved.

We really do get there are things you don't like & it's your right not to like them- I'm just curious, why are YOU fighting this fight as though you were forced to buy these devices.

I quit smoking with a Provari 3 years ago and I'll start smoking again with one.
But seriously, there's nothing else for me.. There's only crap at the low end, and 200watts and up, multiple battery setups, at the high end.
I don't have a chance of convincing China or these 200watts manufacturers, but I feel I do have one with Provape. They listen and they're logical.

Just my opinion
But I think your letting some small issues stop you from buying some good mods ;)

Not fer nothin', mariusk, but have you written Provape with your suggestions and desires? It's one thing to post here, for us, but no one here actually has any control of manufacture. As I'm sure you know. :)

I wrote them a long email some time ago, some of the issues were addressed, but the most important one - the self scrolling menu, has returned.

PS - If it were possible to use a direct USB cable, they probably would have, but since the vape shops have a $200 programmer box, logic dictates it's not possible to do at home without the same box.
They did it because of "safety reasons" and because this way they get to sell vape shops a $200 box. There's no doubt in my mind that if they didn't get complaints about the update procedure from customers, they would have done it the same way with the Radius.

Like I said, change the connection protocol, make a cable with a USB connector on one end and a way to make contact with the battery contact on the PCB on the other end. That's what they should have done with the Procyon and if they had I would buy the Procyon. But I won't because getting the thing updated means I'd have to send it to a dealer in Germany because there's no updater in The Netherlands. I'm also not about to pay for a simple software update, this isn't the early 90's.

It didn't stop me, I bought everything (except for the Procyon).
But how much longer do you think I can swap two batteries a day on the Radius before that hanging wire will break...?

I'm simply suggesting that you take those thoughts directly to Provape.

Well, there's a limit on how much I can nag Provape directly.
But a discussion in an open forum, monitored by Provape from time to time, while others may agree with some of the issues I'm experiencing, may achieve better results.

well, that wire is fairly robust, made of braided wire, so it might surprise you how long that may be ;)

You can hope for it, but I double you will see it. The radius is designed to be a captive battery mod, and the end cap is a perfect design for that....all the benefits of a captive battery, without the drawback of throwing the mod away when the battery is done for.

Maybe get into the habit of charging it more often? So you don't find yourself with a low battery...at 800 mAh, it charges fairly fast.

The internal charger is as fast as my external one (maybe even a little faster), no complaints on that. The problem is a low battery while I'm not near a power source to charge it.
It happens quite a lot, at least in my case.
I also found out that exactly when I need to leave my desk, the battery needs recharging :)

I bought a travel charger battery pack thing, so anytime I may be out and about where I won't be able to plug in, I can get two charges out of my battery pack. They can be had for fairly cheap now...even the 10,000 mAh packs, and output up to 2 amp, plenty for the radius....and mine is pretty small, easy to carry. That could be a good middle ground for you till the day Provape releases what you want ;)

I'm using such a charger indeed, but it's really not comfortable vaping with a wire and an external battery pack attached. I do it because I have no choice, but I do hope it will be solved.
